This week marks the mid-way point of the legislative session, 45th day. It corresponds with a deadline requiring bills that do not have money associated with them to be sent to the opposite chamber of the legislature. Retired Lt. Colonel of the Montana Air National Guard, Kenneth Richard Kjelstrup, son of the late Ed and Hazel Kjelstrup was born December 24, 1922 in Plentywood, Montana. His family moved to Glasgow, Montana where Kenneth graduated from Glasgow High School, then attended Montana State College in Bozeman, Montana (now MSU). Douglas Warner Adolphson, 81, passed away Tuesday, February 23, 2021 in Glasgow, Montana. Doug was born to Edward and Violet (Johnson) Adolphson October 13, 1939 in Great Falls, Montana and grew up there. Doug was member of the Class of 1958 in Glasgow, Montana. He joined the Army National Guard and later became a member of the Navy "SeaBees". Doug married Sharon Hampa September 9, 1960 in Belt, Montana and the couple had three sons. Lee B. Arvin Sr., 68, of Great Falls, Mont. passed away December 31, 2020, after battling health issues for many years stemming from a 2014 diagnosis of carcinoma cancer. The last week of his life he had called to say he had been sick, and this was followed by two surgeries. He hadn't called for several days and then a phone call came saying he had passed. Glenice Jean Honrud, age 90, passed away in the evening on Feb. 27, 2021, after a short battle with cancer and kidney disease. She was born June 19, 1930. Glenice was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, L.O. Honrud, Jr, on May 28, 2011.
