    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has announced it will begin the orderly shutdown of all USACE-managed campgrounds around Fort Peck Lake to protect against the further spread of COVID-19. The Interpretive Center, powerhouse tours, group shelters, playgrounds, fishing piers and designated swim beaches at USACE-managed sites have also been closed and/or put on hold until further notice. Individuals with paid camping reservations at the Downstream Campground impacted by this orderly closure will receive a cancellation via email and a full refund.... Full story

    A Cody, Wyo., man is dead after falling through the ice while riding his four-wheeler on the evening of March 6, or morning of March 7, at Fort Peck Lake. According to Valley County Sheriff and Coroner Tom Boyer, the body of 80-year-old Ronald Spomer was discovered by anglers on March 8 at around noon floating in the recently thawed open water. He passed away on Saturday, March 7, 2020, at 9:50 p.m. at Pelican Rapids Senior Living Center, in Pelican Rapids, Minn., of an aggressive cancer.     The Glasgow-Fort Peck Chapter of Montana Walleye's Unlimited hosted their 19th Annual Women's Fishing Tournament this past weekend July 19 and 20 at Fort Peck Reservoir.     It was early Friday morning, July 12, and 200 boats had filled the waters of the Fort Peck Marina waiting for their wave to get flagged out.
