    GWC never backs down from competition! This weekend was no different, as the Highlanders traveled southwest to Helena for the prestigious annual Helltown Throwdown. This year's event featured 71 different youth clubs and a record 1,111 boy and girl wrestlers in attendance. It was the Glasgow Wrestling Club's first time attending this event in its 10 years of existence and the Highlanders would end up bringing the fifth biggest squad to competition.     The Scottie boys wrestling team placed eighth at the 2024 Dylan Humes Memorial Tournament in Moorcroft, Wyo., this past weekend. Glasgow put up 85 team points to take the placing out of 28 teams in attendance. William Kirkland led the boys with a second place finish at 157 lbs.     The high school Ice Dawgs added two wins to their record this past weekend in Great Falls. The Dawgs defeated the Americans 4-1 Jan. 20 and 4-3 the following day. Glasgow scored twice in the second and third periods in game one, holding the Americans to one goal in the final period in their first win.     For the 18th year in a row Alexander (Zander) Blewett, III, a trial lawyer from the personal injury law firm of Hoyt & Blewett PLLC in Great Falls, Montana, has offered three $1,000 scholarships to the top student/wrestlers around the state of Montana for Classes “AA”, “A”, and “B/C”.     On Jan. 23, at approximately 2337 hours, Phillips County Sheriff's Office dispatch received a mutual aid request from Blaine County for a vehicle pursuit headed towards Phillips County on US 2. The request stated the suspect vehicle was traveling at speeds over 100 miles per hour. The occupants of the vehicle were suspected of transporting drugs.
