    The North Country Mavericks and Lady Mavericks went to Scobey on Saturday, and took on their Spartan counterparts on Feb. 3. It was their second meeting of the 2023-24 season. The Lady Mavericks were able to defeat the Lady Spartans 47-23, and extended their win-streak to 44 games. The Mavericks fell 71-36 to the Spartans.     The North Country Lady Mavericks (15-0) picked up a few decisive victories last week, defeating the Nashua Lady Porcupines 83-7 in Hinsdale on Jan. 23, the Circle Lady Wildcats 55-40 on Jan. 26, in Circle and the Turner Tornadoes 73-30 in Whitewater on Jan. 27.     The North Country Mavericks boys' basketball team won two of their three games last week. The Mavs fell 56-27 to the Lustre Christian Lions in Lustre on Jan. 16. They bounced back to defeat the Frazer Bearcubs 66-39 on Jan. 19, in Frazer and defeated the Dodson Coyotes in a 46-42 thriller in Whitewater on Jan. 20.
