    The Lustre Christian boys track team scored 35 points at the Sidney Invitational to finish in seventh place. The Lions put up 13 personal records and three season bests while the girls track team established five new personal records. GIRLS Jaden Gibson set a personal record in the 100 meters at 17.07 to take 85th out of 95 runners. Abby Olfert set a personal best in the 200 meters at 31.45 to take 33rd out of 64 racers.     The Frazer boys track team set 14 personal records at the Jean Dreikosen Memorial Meet in Glasgow April 20 and scored 27 team points. The girls team set eight new personal bests and scored 18 team points. BOYS Gabe Beston and Travis Long placed 11th and 12th out of 16 in the 100 meters with times of 14.2 and 14.5, respectively.     Nashua candidates who filed to fill two open positions on the Town of Nashua’s Council during the 2024 election received a letter at the end of March stating there will no longer be an election for Nashua Town Council seats this election year. Per the letter that was sent by Valley County Election Administrator Marie Pippin, municipal elections are held in odd-numbered years, opposite the primary and general elections which are held in even-numbered years.     The Clerk and Recorder’s Office will be running five elections: four School Districts and the Fort Peck Rural County Water District. These five elections are all mail-ballot elections.     With a heavy heart the family of Curtis R. Risa notes his passing on Friday, March 8, 2024, in Billings, Mont. Curt was the third son of Pearl and Martin Risa born in 1942 in Kent, Wash., where Martin was working in the shipyards during World War II.
