Frazer Boys Set 14 PRs, Girls 8 at Jean Dreikosen

The Frazer boys track team set 14 personal records at the Jean Dreikosen Memorial Meet in Glasgow April 20 and scored 27 team points. The girls team set eight new personal bests and scored 18 team points.

BOYS

Gabe Beston and Travis Long placed 11th and 12th out of 16 in the 100 meters with times of 14.2 and 14.5, respectively. Long set a personal record in the 200 meters at 29.3 and finished ninth out of 12 runners. The two Bearcubs also ran the 400 meters. Beston took fourth at 1:05.6 and Long ran a 1:08.7 for fifth out of six competitors.

Beston took third in the 1600 meters out of eight runners with a personal best 5:41.4. Long placed eighth at 6:49.8. In the 3200 meters, Beston placed second out of five with a personal record 12:22.5.

Joseph Beston led the Bearcubs in the shot put, placing third out of 15 with a personal record 38'9 throw. Christopher Fox threw a new personal best 31'8.5 for seventh place. Chase Jackson finished 12th with a personal record 26'8.5 followed by Ty Fourstar in 13th at 24'10.5. De'mon Grandchamp threw a personal best 22'9.5 for 15th place.

J. Beston led Frazer in the discus also, throwing a personal best 93'3.5 to tie for eighth place out of 24 competitors. Fox's 89'10.5 was a personal record and earned him 11th place. Fourstar took 16th with a personal record 77'1. Jackson took 20th at a personal best 59'5 followed by Grandchamp's personal record 56'1 in 21st place.

Fourstar placed sixth in the javelin at 108'0 while Fox's personal best 106'1 put him in a tie for seventh out of 20 throwers.

Fourstar also led Frazer in the long jump, taking seventh out of 15 with a 14'10.75 distance. Long set a personal record at 14'6 and finished in 10th place.

GIRLS

Lola Remoro set a personal record of 17.4 in the 100 meters to take 12th out of 15 runners. Mariah Beston ran an 18.0 for 14th followed by Aubrey Mail in 15th at a personal best 18.1 time. In the 200 meters, Romero set a new personal record at 33.0 and tied for fourth out of six runners.

M. Beston led the Bearcubs in the 1600 meters with a personal best 7:56.2 for fourth out of six runners. Kalianna Blount ran a personal best 8:19.7 for fifth followed by Mail in sixth at 8:36.8. M. Beston also set a personal record in the 3200 meters at 17:59.9 to take second out of two racers.

Romero placed 13th out of 15 in the shot put at 20'8, a new personal best. She threw 48'1.5, a personal record, in the discus to take 14th out of 16 competitors.

Frazer's underclassmen were scheduled to compete in the Scobey Froshmore Meet in Wolf Point April 23, but results were unavailable at press time.

The Bearcubs are scheduled to attend the the R&L Invitational in Lambert Thursday April 25. They are also scheduled to attend both the Whitewater Invitational and the Glendive Shriners Invitational Friday, April 26. The 42nd Annual Norm Girard Top 10 Meet is scheduled for Tuesday, April 30.
