The Hinsdale Raiders started the 2024 track season at the Cal Wearly Memorial in Havre April 10 and the Scobey Invitational April 13. Hinsdale was unable to put up points at the crowded Cal Wearly, but in Scobey the girls scored 37 points for sixth place while the boys put up 14 for 10th place.

GIRLS
Layna Jones ran a 17.15 in the 100 meters to take 48th out of 51 runners. She jumped 10-08.25 in the long jump to take 32nd place out of 32 competitors. She put up a distance of 22-01.00 in the shot put to tie for 38th out of 55 fieldsters. In the discus, Jones threw 72-09 to tie for 19th out of 46 places.
Kodi McColly threw 23-07.00 in the shot put for 32nd and 85-03 in the discus for seventh place.
BOYS
Kade Strommen tied for eighth out of 19 in the pole vault after clearing 8-06.00. He tied for 10th in the high jump at 5-06.00 and placed 15th in the long jump, out of 50, at 17-08.00. Strommen threw 73-06 in the javelin for 66th place out of 68 throwers. He ran a 12.73 in the 100 meters to take 43rd out of 68 racers.
Coy Bowman tied Strommen in the high jump at 5-06.00. He threw 115-03 for 26th place in the javelin. Bowman placed 53rd in the 100 meters at 12.98.
Jaydeen Hanshew placed 10th in the javelin at 113-07 and 43rd in the shot put out of 65 throwers. He ran a 13.23 in the 100 meters for 60th and a 27.51 in the 200 meters to finish 38th out of 44 runners.
Scobey Invitational
GIRLS
In the 100 meters, CharLee McColly ran a 14.24 for ninth out of 41 racers. Addison ran a 17.99 for 41st place. BaiLee McColly ran the 100m hurdles in 23.33 to take 15th place.
Zora Holt ran the 1600 meters in 6:31.87 to take second out of nine runners. She also took second in the 3200 meters, out of eight racers, with a time of 13:17.00.
Kodi McColly won the discus with a throw of 88-07, beating out 24 others.
B. McColly threw 86-01 in the javelin to take fifth out of 29 competitors. C. McColly threw 76-00 for 10th followed by K. McColly in 11th with a 75-09 throw. Lyli Bear threw 68-07 for 15th place.
B. McColly placed third in the high jump, out of eight, after clearing 5-00.00. C. McColly jumped 4-04.00 for seventh place.
Holt and Idler tied for seventh in the pole vault after clearing 5-06.00.
B. Mcolly took 10th out of 35 in the long jump with a distance of 13-05.50. Idler jumped 10-02.50 for 32nd place.
BOYS
Strommen ran a 13.18 in the 100 meters to take 24th out of 52 runners. Bowman placed 34th at 13.74 and Hanshew 35th at 13.81.
Linden Holt placed 17th out of 18 in the 160 meters at 6:47.68. He ran a 15:32.78 in the 3200 meters to take 13th out of 13 runners. He placed sixth int eh 300m hurdles with a time of 1:06.65.
Hanshew took 13th out of 36 with a throw of 33-06.00 and 14th out of 44 in the discuss with a 95-05 throw.
Bowman threw 116-00 in the javelin for 10th out of 40 competitors. Hanshew placed 12th at `109-06 and Strommen the 88-08 for 25th place.
Bowman cleared 5-02.00 in the high jump for fourth out six and 17th in the long jump at 15-04.00. Strommen jumped 16-07.00 in the long jump, placing 10th out of 34. He put up a distance of 35-04.00 in the triple jump to take eighth out of 12. Strommen won the pole vault after clearing 10-06.00, beating out five others.
Hinsdale is set to host the Jean Dreikosen Memorial Meet in Glasgow Saturday, April 20. Underclassmen are set to attend the Scobey Froshmore Invite in Wolf Point Tuesday, April 23.
