Hinsdale Girls Win Jean Dreikosen, Boys Place Fifth

The Hinsdale girls track team won their own Jean Dreikosen Memorial Meet held in Glasgow April 20 with 128 team points. The Raiders established 14 new personal records and six season records at the meet. The boys team placed fifth with 40 points while setting four personal records and one season record.

GIRLS

CharLee McColly took fourth in the 100 meters out of 15 with a personal best 13.8. Addison Idler ran a 16.7, a season record, for ninth place. McColly placed third in the 200 meters with a personal best 29.6, out of six runners.

Zora Holt won both the 1600 and 3200 meters, with season records in both. She ran a 6:23.7 in the 1600 to beat five other runners while finishing the 3200 meters in 13:15.9, ahead of one other racer.

Layna Jones, McColly, Holt and BaiLee McColly combined for a 1:00.1 in the 4x100 relay to beat Dodson for first place.

C. McColly won the shot put with a personal best 32'9.5, beating 14 other throwers. Kodi McColly took fourth at 27'6, a personal best, while Lyli Bear was right behind her in fifth at 27'4, a personal record. Jones also set a personal record, throwing 24'1.5 to tie for eighth place.

K. McColly won the discus, out of 16 competitors, with a personal best 94'3.5 throw. Bear took second at 85'7, a personal best. Jones finished in 11th at 56'8 followed by Idler in 15th at 47'3, a personal record.

In the javelin, K. McColly led the Raiders again, taking third out of 19 with a personal best 84'9 throw. B. McColly placed fifth at 82'11 while Bear threw 68'3 for 11th place. Jones and Idler took 18th at 57'6 and 19th at 45'2, both personal bests.

B. McColly broke a Hinsdale school record and won the high jump after clearing 5'3. The personal record earned her first out of five jumpers.

C. McColly cleared 7'0, a personal best, in the pole vault to win while Holt cleared 5'0 to tie for second place.

B. McColly won the long jump with a season record 14'8, beating 11 other competitors. Jones jumped 11'6, a season record, for sixth place. B. McColly took second in the triple jump, out of four, with a season-best 29'7.5 distance.

BOYS

Coy Bowman tied for third in the 200 meters with a personal best 27.3. Jaydeen Hanshew took fifth at 27.4, out of 12 runners.

Linden Holt set personal records in the 1600 and 3200 meters. He took sixth out of eight in the 1600 meters at 6:19.8 while running a 13:57.7 in the 3200 meters to take fifth out of five. In the 300m hurdles, he set a season record at 1:04.8 to take sixth out of six.

Hanshew took fifth out of 15 in the shot put at 32'7.5. He placed fourth of 23 in the discus with a 102'6.5 throw, a personal record.

Bowman threw 114'0 in the javelin to take fifth out of 19 while Hanshew finished 11th with a 99'10 throw.

Bowman cleared 5'2 in the high jump to tie for second out of five jumpers.

Kade Strommen won the pole vault after clearing 5'0 as the only competitor.

Bowman set a personal record and finished fourth of six in the triple jump at 34'5.

Hinsdale's underclassmen were scheduled to attend the Scobey Froshmore Meet in Wolf Point April 23, but results were unavailable at press time.

The Raiders will attend the Whitewater Invitational Friday, April 26, and the 42nd Annual Norm Girard Top 10 Meet in Glasgow Tuesday, April 30.
