Law Enforcement Report

For the week of Dec. 18 through 23, there were 15 motor vehicle stops, two reports of a vehicle hitting a deer, one report of a loose dog, one report of a barking dog, three reports of loose livestock and two reports of dead deer on the road.

For the week of Dec. 25 through 30, there were 11 motor vehicle stops, one request for a VIN inspection, one report of a loose dog, and two reports of deer being hit by a vehicle.

Monday, Dec. 18

2124 – Caller reported she was just assaulted by a male at a hotel. She stated the male pushed her around and stated her foot is messed up. She left the room and borrowed someone’s phone in order to call. She provided a room number she thought it was.

Tuesday, Dec. 19

1450 – Reporting party called in a minor accident in the parking lot. There are no injuries. A description of the vehicles were provided. Officer later advised and stated this is a private property accident with minimal damage. Both parties have exchanged information.

2046 – Caller stated she believes someone is outside of her residence. It’s just her and her cats at home, and the cats are disturbed by whatever is outside. She has both front and back doors locked.

Wednesday, Dec. 20

0135 – Multiple calls were received regarding a fire alarm sounding. Fire Command advised he spoke with the maintenance man, who stated they had a faulty fire alarm on the first floor. At 0157, Tycois Alarms called and dispatch stated the fire alarm had been investigated by the fire department. It was determined to be a false alarm from a faulty detector.

0331 – Reporting party called and said a woman knocked on her door, waking her up. When she answered the door, the woman stated she was lost and was looking for Highway 2 North, so she could get to where her mother lived. The caller drove the woman to the building, however on the way, the woman told the caller she had “stashed” her two bags over by one of the gas stations, however couldn’t remember which gas station she stashed them behind. After dropping off the woman, the reporting party tried to find the bags but couldn’t. At 0635, an officer stated the bags were found and a message was left on where the bags could be picked up.

0814 – Caller reported there is a water main cap that has a broken seal so the cap won’t sit down in the road. He has taken the cap and set it off to the side. The City Street Department was notified.

0855 – Alarm company called in a general fire alarm. It was determined to be the same location as the call from 0135, and the alarm is still being worked on.

1742 – Caller reported a male was driving an electric scooter on US 2 by the Fairgrounds. She’s afraid he’s going to cause an accident. Later an officer advised he found the subject and tried to talk to him.

Thursday, Dec. 21

1003 – Reporting party stated her Ring camera was showing motion detection in her apartment. She looked through her apartment using her phone and didn’t see anyone. About 10 minutes later, an officer checked the apartment.

1003 – Caller reported a pickup that he has been behind for five miles since he left Glasgow. The truck has crossed the yellow line several times as well as the white line too. Information was passed along to a deputy. At 1036, deputy indicated he patrolled the area and was unable to locate the vehicle.

1737 – Caller reported there’s a male walking down the middle of US 2 headed towards Wolf Point. A description of what the male was wearing was provided. A deputy was notified.

1848 – Caller reported a bunch of hay on the highway. DOT was notified to see what they can do.

Friday, Dec. 22

0454 – Reporting party with MDT stated a pick up is on the side of the road with its brake lights on and headlights on high beam. RCSO was contacted for assistance. A Valley County deputy arrived and logged a 0.140 BAC, cited the driver and tribal transported him to jail.

1009 – McCone County called stating she got a call from a male who told her he is in a jet boat that is high centered on a sand bar. He tried to push it off but is unable to. Deputy was notified who talked to the male, explaining it is a tow call.

1103 – PCSO advised her officer is coming to the facility with an inmate and advised her there is a white vehicle with the hood up and flashers on the side of the road. A MHP trooper responded to the call.

1131 – Reporting party called stating her kids found a grenade with the pin in it out in a field behind them. As information was being gathered, the caller stated there is a big hole in the bottom of it, and she doesn’t need any help.

1751 – Caller reported a possible drunk driver that almost swerved her off the road. A description of the suspect vehicle was provided. At 1801, MHP located the vehicle and stated the driver pulled over due to her eyes being light sensitive.

2022 – Roosevelt 911 requested assistance from Valley County officer. She said a male shot up the inside of his vehicle while his girlfriend was inside the vehicle. His girlfriend was able to get out of the vehicle. The incident happened about 12 minutes ago, and description of where the male was headed was provided. At 2047, suspect was detained.

Saturday, Dec. 23

1404 – Female called wanting to speak with Wolf Point dispatch as her granddaughter is at home right now and the neighbor boys went out, shooting her bedroom with a BB gun. The caller was provided with Roosevelt County Dispatch’s number.

1456 – Caller reported there is a pickup off to the side of the road and has been there since about 1100 that morning. He was wondering if something would be done about it before it gets dark. At 1516, deputy advised the vehicle is in the way and is a hazard. A tow was contacted. At 1623, a male called stating he was the person with the truck and would be going out in a couple of hours to move the vehicle. Dispatch explained they are unsure if it had been towed as it was a hazard. The name of the person and their phone number was passed along to the tow company.

1707 – Reporting party called in stating his kids had the boat out today and it broke down. They have secured the boat along the shoreline and will be coming back tomorrow, pending weather, to retrieve the boat. They wanted it on record in case someone calls in they have seen the boat.

Monday, Dec. 25

1918 – Caller requested an officer. She stated a male is trying to break her door down. She then advised he left with their 14 year-old son in a vehicle with Idaho plates. A direction of travel was provided. She stated they don’t have custody papers for the child. A deputy was notified and headed out to catch up with the vehicle.

Wednesday, Dec. 27

0929 – Caller reported he believes someone has hit the guardrail west of Glasgow. There are other people who have also stopped. MHP responded to the scene and advised it is a no injury crash. There is extensive damage to the vehicle and the airbags did deploy.

1801 – A public assist call was recorded for a semi truck.

2102 – Caller requested an officer and said someone will be outside waiting on the porch. Dispatch could hear a bit of commotion in the background. Further information was attempted to be gathered however the person hung up. A second male called back and said he’s waiting outside for the officers. Nobody was hurt, there is just yelling back and forth.

Thursday, Dec. 28

1502 – Reporting party advised he had a large ball in the back of her truck and she believes it may have fallen out. Dispatch stated no one has turned it in but if they do, dispatch will call her and let her know. If she does find it she will also let dispatch know.

Friday, Dec. 29

0833 – Reporting party called to make a report on someone slashing her passenger rear tire on her vehicle. She found her tire flat this morning. She stated it was fine when she left for work at 0030 last night. Dispatch advised there isn’t an officer right now to give the call to but as soon as one is available they will follow up.

1653 – Reporting party called stating there was a pick up pulling a goose neck trailer that took the corner, took out the yield sign and also hit his planter box. The reporting party is willing to sign a complaint if needed. Officer patrolled towards Hwy 24 North but was unable to locate.
