Scottie Girls Defeat Rocky Boy

The Scottie girls improved their record to 3-3 with a 54-33 win over the Rocky Boy Morning Stars Dec. 22 on the road. Glasgow posted the win after a 21-point performance in the third quarter.

The Scotties led 11-8 after the first but fell behind by a point at the half, 19-18. Glasgow put up 21 in the third quarter while holding Rocky Boy to 5 points for a 39-29 lead heading into the fourth. The Scotties outscored the Stars 15-9 in the final quarter.

Joely Chappell led all scorers with 19 points. Hayden Green poured in 15 followed by Mayzie Yoakam with 7 points. Kyndal Schraner added 6 while Gina Page, Riley Evenson-Glasoe and Paityn Britzman hit for 2 each. Macy Martin scored a free throw in the win.

Glasgow hosts the Glendive Red Devils Friday, Jan. 5, for boys C, girls and boys JV, and varsity girls and boys games beginning at 3 p.m. in Scottie Gymnasium. Saturday, Jan. 6, the Scotties will be in Malta for games against the M-ettes and Mustangs.
