Individuals, children and families had the opportunity to get back into the Halloween spirit on Nov. 5 during the Monster Dash organized by the Glasgow Recreation Department. The Dash was originally scheduled for Oct. 29 at Sullivan Park however Mother Nature had other plans earlier that week by bringing winter weather to the area.
The Nov. 5 event brought much milder weather, though some puddles may have been jumped in while participants walked / ran along the streets of the south side of Glasgow after starting the race at the Glasgow Civic Center.
The first person to cross the finish line was Garrett Thompson, from the 9-14 age, with a time of 6:22, followed by Tate Lenner, also from the 9-14 age, with a time of 6:32. The first adult to cross the finish line was Levi Capdeville, a repeat from last year's race, with a time of 6:38.
