Kiwanis Easter Egg Hunt An Egg-cellent Time

After weather unexpectedly delayed the annual Kiwanis Easter Egg Hunt on Easter weekend, that did not deter volunteers from still putting it on for the community, just a delayed a week. On April 6, the community and families of all ages came out to Bundy Park to continue the celebration of Easter.

According to event organizers, approximately 4,000 plastic eggs were filled with candy with Bundy Park divided into three sections to more fairness and space between the different age groups that attended.

Prior to the event, the eggs were stuffed with candy by Kiwanians, Milk River clients, Builders Club students, residents at Prairie Ridge village and numerous community volunteers. The day of the event Kiwanians and other volunteers assisted in the set up and hiding of the eggs, including Lisa Koski, Arnold and Ann Hill, Rocky Zimdars, Jeff Hayward, Sydney Hayward, Charles Wilson and Ben Wilson, along with GHS Key Club Advisor Tasheena Wilcox and Milk River volunteers.

After all of the eggs were found, families socialized with the Easter Bunny and sat on the lawn, opening up each of their eggs to enjoy the treasures they found.

The sponsors of the event were Reynolds, Nemont Manor, Frances Mahon Deaconess Hospital and the Glasgow Chamber.
