Glasgow Elks Lodge Donates $2,000 To Valley County Food Bank

Glasgow Elks Lodge #1922 recently applied for and were awarded a $2,000 Gratitude Grant from the Elks National Foundation.

As the name implies, as a sign of gratitude, every Lodge that met the Grand Exalted Ruler's per-member-giving goal to the Elks National Foundation in the prior fiscal year is eligible to apply for a $2,000 grant. Glasgow Elks members donated over the goal amount, so we were eligible this year!

The grant must be used for a local charitable purpose and can't be used to update the Lodge facilities or pay bills. So, with our Gratitude Grant, Glasgow Lodge chose to donate the proceeds to the Valley County Food Bank to help them out with purchasing additional food and supplies for the Food Bank. With the cost of food and goods being what it is these days, every dollar counts.

Thank you to the Elks National Foundation for the grant and thank you to our members for stepping up and donating to the ENF to make this grant possible.

Glasgow Elks members, remember to please donate to the Elks National Foundation again on the line provided near the bottom on the dues statement you recently received in the mail so we can get this grant again next year!
