For the week of Oct. 9 through 16, there were 15 accidental/prank calls, 10 motor vehicle stops, one report of loose livestock, two reports of loose dogs, one report of loose livestock and two requests for a VIN inspection.

For the week of Oct. 17 through 22, there were five reports of loose cattle, three reports of loose dogs, one report of a loose cat, one request for a VIN inspection and 12 reports of motor vehicle stops.

Tuesday, Oct. 11

1813 – A male reported a downed power line laying on the ground in the back alley over by the storage unit. The neighbor lady has told him about it. The caller said it was a semi that took the power line down and there is no arching or sparking. Northwestern Energy was contacted.

2012 – A call was received for an alarm company for a commercial burglary alarm. The alarm started at 2021. The owner called in stating the employee set off the alarm and everything is okay.

Wednesday, Oct. 12

2121 – A female reported that another female was outside talking loudly.

2100 – Reports of a church on the street over is on fire. Nashua Fire was contacted as well as utility companies were notified. During the calls that came it, it was stated a woman called Roosevelt County to report the fires and Roosevelt advised them to call VCSO. At 2130, a female reported there's a house on fire across from the Frazer Post Office. Long Run Fire Chief was called for permission to call Roosevelt. She requested one structure and one tender. Roosevelt was notified and they paged out their fire. The owner of the house also called in stating her house was on fire. At 2129, a female requested to make a complaint about the response time of the responding units. Throughout the evening, multiple calls were made regarding the fires.

Thursday, Oct. 13

0132 – Deputy advised he moved a deer to the east side of the highway.

0143 – Reporting party called to report a knife wound. She said a male reported to the ER with two superficial cuts to two of his fingers. She said the wounds were self-inflected and accidental. He was cutting up food while fixing himself something to eat.

0243 – RCSO Dispatch asked if he had a deputy in position to assist tribal officers. She said a female was following a male around because she is convinced he has drugs in his car. At 0244, RCSO called back and said the deputy could stand down. She decided to go home and go to bed.

0325 – RCSO Dispatch advised that a female is at the bar an she called stating the male came into the bar with a gun. RCSO has dispatched a tribal officer and would like a VC Deputy to assist. It was advised the male does have an AR 15 and a .22. Deputy that arrived on scene will not engage until he has back-up. Tribal also arrive don scene, in addition to another deputy. They cleared the grain bins, and the suspect it not there. Deputy will patrol the area for awhile. At 0519 it was advised the suspect was unable to be located.

0642 – Reporting party called and said his mom had hit a deer. He said he already called Thompson's and they will be picking it up that day. His mom will also be filing an accident form.

1621 – A male reported his son's vehicle broke down. They will try to get it moved either tonight or tomorrow. A description was provided and the vehicle is out of the driving lane.

1638 – Caller requested an officer. She said a female and her mother are outside flipping out.

1754 – Tribal Security reported a smoldering and a flame or two at the structure fire from the night before (Oct. 12, 2100). A male from Tribal Security stated he hit one of the spots with a fire extinguisher because it was a good-sized flame. Long Run was also paged.

1806 – A male said about a year ago someone stole his gun cabinet. He said the suspect returned most of the guns but didn't return the Smith and Wesson. The caller stated there is a rumor going around that the suspect was killed by the police in North Dakota possibly last night. The caller wanted to be speak with a deputy.

1856 – Deputy requested a Tribal Officer be sent to assist him. He said there had been an altercation between two people. Roosevelt 911 was called who advised they only have one officer on duty and he's busy.

2054 – Deputy advised a female is at a location that she is not supposed to be at per RCSO as a result of a protection order.

2329 – Reporting party called and requested police for a domestic disturbance. Dispatch could hear two women arguing in the background. When asked, it was stated there are no weapons involved. It was determined it was an argument, and nothing physical happened. The parties have decided to separate for the night.

Friday, Oct. 14

0148 – Reporting party stated she heard eight gunshots coming from behind her house. She said that not long after that, a pickup went “zooming by” the front of her house, coming from the direction of the dike, An officer was notified. It was determined to not be gun shots but fireworks and were to the west of town in the county. At 0200, the reporting party called back and stated it wasn't gunshots she heard but fireworks and they are on the dike. A four-wheeler is also running around. Dispatch confirmed to her they are fireworks and according to the city officer on duty, they are in the county. Multiple calls were made regarding the sounds of gunshots, however were the fireworks that were going off.

0842 – A male called stating he bought some property and there are six to seven abandoned vehicles there. He wants to know what he needs to do to get them either in his name or get them to the scrap yard. It was advised an officer will call him back.

1710 – RCSO dispatch called stating they have a report of a male walking around town with a 45 in his hand. They stated they do not have an address, but know the description of the office. They stated the reason for the concern is a volleyball game going on at the school. They have one tribal officer responding.

1734 – A female called in wanting to know if she can keep her estranged husband from picking up his belongings. It was advised a deputy would call her back. At 1844, the female called back to say he is texting her to find out if she is home.

1945 – A female called in to report a white pickup driving 50 MPH and crossing the lane multiple times. She later provided a description of the vehicle.

Saturday, Oct. 15

1033 – MDOT received a report of a dead deer in the middle of the road. He asked if a deputy could pull it off to the side of the road so it's no longer a hazard and will pick it up on Monday.

1214 – Officer called in to report that a male notified him of suspicious activity.

1513 – Caller, who requested to remain anonymous stated there is a piece of tin in the middle of the road.

1638 – A female called in to report an individual that was screaming and yelling. They pulled out a pair of brass knucks that looked like they could rake. She provided a description of the male. She stated the he appears to be arguing with an individual. When she said something to him he started yelling at her.

1730 – An officer is out with MHP 306. An individual has a bleeding from the nose He stated he was dehydrated but refused medical assistance and refused to identify themself.

2003 – Reporting party reported a vehicle pulled in by the frame work of a new steel building. They shined the lights across the equipment and then backed in and parked. An officer walked around the building. There was no one around.

Sunday, Oct. 16

0852 – Fish and Game received a report that someone hit a deer. It's still alive and needs to be put down.

1136 – Fish and Game advised there is a subject walking westbound on Highway 2 in the ditch of the east bound lane. They had stopped and talked to the guy who said he was just headed west with no particular destination in mind. A description of the male was provided. Fish and Game wanted dispatch to be aware that he already was checked on if they get any calls.

Monday, Oct. 17

1145 – Caller requested to speak with the sheriff. He stated he wanted to file a restraining order against his son who was harassing him at his residence. The son left before the caller called 911. Dispatch advised a deputy would get in contact with him.

1338 – Reporting party called in concerned about a registered sex offender, who moved in down the street from her. She stated someone added her on Snapchat, with a female avatar and the name labeled with two letters. They spoke for about a month, snapchatting back and forth around the time her husband had left. Her daughter told her that her friend’s father was a registered sex offender and had moved in down the street. She learned the name and made the connection after several questions because the person on her Snap Chat had moved to St. Marie. He sent her a photo of across the street then a photo of him in a wig. She stated that he is identifying as a transfemale.

1803 – Caller reported that another male wants to touch him. He said this has been going on for years. He’s reporting this because his wife is afraid that the male will stab him. The caller would like to talk with an officer either today or tomorrow. At 1830, an officer advised he spoke with the reporting party.

2340 – Deputy advised a driver was just trying to find a spot to get service for her phone.
