For the week of Nov. 1 through 9, there were seven motor vehicle stops, 13 accidental dials/prank calls, five reports of loose livestock, one report of loose dogs, one report of a barking dog, and one report of a missing dog.

Wednesday, Nov. 1

2300 – An officer served the warrant on the arrestee. Booking video was pulled and copied to flash drive.

Thursday, Nov. 2

0232 – Reporting party called and said someone was honking their horn outside his door. He believes the horn honking is in retribution for speaking with her about her barking dogs. No license plate number was provided as the vehicle is now gone. Dispatch advised to call back and provided a license plate number if they come back.

0311 – Deputy reported he was moving a deer off the road. It was determined to be an antelope. A message was left for DOT.

1636 – A female stated a person was just there and broke her window on the screen door.

1840 – A public assist call was recorded for the abandoned houses.

2125 – A male reported a big 6’ dish (possibly a satellite dish) and an empty 300 lb bottle in the north ditch of US 2. He said it looks like a truck started to go off the road and then drove off and possibly lost their items. At 1008 the next day, MT DOT called advising they have picked up the items so if someone comes or calls about them they have them.

Friday, Nov. 3

0755 – A female advised there is a semi struck in the underpass again At 0817, a deputy advised the underpass is clear.

1149 – A female called stating her car broke down. She is off the road and is not a hazard. She will get it later this evening.

1304 – A male called stating there is someone who needs assistance backing out of the underpass.

1320 – A male called stating there is a vehicle that has been parked at the east end of his street now for two months. A license plate and description was provided. An officer tried to call the registered owner but went to voicemail. The officer will mark the car and they will see what to do with it.

1634 – A male said he is receiving phone calls in regards to his ex’s debit card. He would like an officer to contact her and tell her she needs to remove his name from her debit card. The caller was patched through to an officer.

1754 – A male reported he hit a deer just west of the Gateway on Hwy 24 south. He is not injured. The deer is still alive and in the ditch. A message for DOT was left regarding the deer.

1858 – A male said a man came in requesting dispatch be called to get an officer to unlock his vehicle. Dispatch advised the officers don’t unlock vehicles and provided phone numbers for the locksmiths.

Saturday, Nov. 4

0058 – A deputy moved deer off the road about a mile south of St. Marie. Local MDT office was notified.

0313 – Reporting party stated a guest at the hotel got locked in the room and the door had to be pried open. After she and the husband left, a guest fired a gun outside. The husband went over and the guest apologized stating he was just happy to be out of the room. A citation was provided for firing a gun within city limits.

0424 – Reporting party called to have someone come out and remove her drunk boyfriend. A deputy arrived who spoke to the boyfriend. He said she came to his house and was drunk. He stated she went to her grandma’s house. At 0510, deputy spoke to the grandmother, she said the reporting party was sleeping due to her coming home as the boyfriend had said. She was intoxicated.

1226 – Dispatch received a call from the Detention Center. A detention officer advised a man was on the phone stating they were almost hit by a sheriff’s deputy. The man said they were at the intersection and did not see the deputy’s car because they did not have their headlights on. He does not want to file a complaint, simply wants the lights on so they don’t get in a wreck.

1351 – A deputy requested DOT be notified as someone took out a delineator pole. A voicemail was left for Glasgow DOT.

1521 – A female reported she witnessed dogs attack a kid and she later said the same dogs almost attacked a mother and a child. At 1500, a male reported there were two dogs going after kids and saw one charge at a kid. He could not provide a description but did take photographs.

1726 – A male reported he found one of his cows dead. There were tracks leading up to the dead cow across the ice. He was wanting to reach the livestock inspector to find out what to do. He stated he took photos of the area.

1730 – A female reported a Ford using the road as a drag strip for the last half hour. A deputy advised he patrolled the road and could not locate the vehicle.

2346 – Reporting party stated her daughter is drinking and wants to fight. She would like an officer to come over and talk to her. Ten minutes later, per an officer, the mother explained the daughter was drinking wine and started arguing. She poured the wine out and is heading to a friend’s house now. She is no longer at the residence. The mom doesn’t want anything else done.

Sunday, Nov. 5

0255 – Reporting party requested an officer to talk to her granddaughter who is drunk. At 0309, the reporting party called back and stated she left to go to a friend’s house.

0830 – Dispatch spoke with Supervisor about who would be notified regarding the downed street signs. At 0934, the Commissioners Office was notified to see if the County deals with this or if St. Marie deals with it. Since the sign is technically on Ash St., it would fall to St. Marie. Dispatch contacted the St Marie Condo association and was told it’s a Village Association issue. A male advised it appears to becoming a regular thing and reported several instances where it looks like someone took the street signs with a vehicle.

1507 – A female reported someone dropped off cattle at the feed lot. They cut the locks, dumped off approximately 90 head and took the trespass signs. A description of the cattle were provided. She advised this is a civil disagreement about running cattle and not paying their bill. At 1515, she stated she spoke to their attorney who stated they need to have a deputy look at the place because this is a continuation from the last situation.

1642 – A civil dispute of who has rights to the land call was reported.

1858 – There is a vehicle in the ditch about 500 feet from a dead deer. At 1913, per deputy unable to contact the registered owner. Local MDT office was notified regarding the deer.

1916 – Reporting party stated a camper and a truck has been camping out in the Shopko parking lot. They have been there at least five days. The reporting party talked to the guy and told him he had to move. He had left, then returned. Per officer, it is a private parking lot so would need a complaint from the property owner before anything could be done.

Monday, Nov. 6

0125 – Reporting party stated a car is on the side of the road, with it’s tail end sticking out in the road. They are afraid someone will run into it. Deputy arrived, and the driver provided permission to pull the vehicle off the road. A PBT was 0.090 of the driver.

0822 – A male advised that dispatch “better get the cops out here.” A location was provided with the caller stating the subjects did not have authorization to be in his house. A female needed to get her stuff out of the house. At 0905, tribal gave the female a ride home.

0954 – There appears to be a frequent occurrence since this past spring where it appears vehicles are hitting signs in St. Marie. It’s at an angle in which they are hitting and can’t image there isn’t vehicle damage after the impact. They are insured but needs a police report in order to get new signs paid and replaced in the spring.

1113 – A male advised he fired an employee in October and told him he couldn’t come back. The employee is at the feed lot right now and would like him removed. It was determined the employee was hired by a female so this is a civil issue.

1355 – A male reported a drive off of $29.75. He attempted to catch them before they drove off. He got the license plate number however it came back to a different vehicle. Officer advised he will look around for the vehicle.

1431 – A male stated there is a “drift boat” near the location. It has been there for awhile and was wondering on who to speak with about it. She asked if it didn’t belong to anyone, if she could have it. She was patched along to a deputy.

1552 – Deputy advised an individual was just released from the Valley County Detention Center. He will be giving her a ride to her vehicle.

1650 – A female reported she struck a deer. The deer took off and ran. Her vehicle did sustain damage.

1726 – A female reported someone has messed with her car some time between 1300 to 1700 today. She stated this is about the third time now. There is no damage to the vehicle but someone has been inside messing with the backseats and the head rest is yanked out. Cameras were viewed.

1801 – A male reported he was selling a car and the buyer was supposed to pay $500 but the reporting party has not received a dollar. The male still has the title to the car. Earlier this year he saw the buyer driving around in the car and still had the plates on it. The caller stated he took the plates off of the car. He wanted the $500 owed for the vehicle. If the buyer won’t make the payments, the caller wants the car back. It was determined to be a civil issue.

1910 – A male reported a loud scream that took place about 25 minutes ago. He stated he heard a long and loud scream, then a pop. Possibly like a gunshot or it could have been his building, he was not sure which. At 1940, a deputy advised they have gone to three to four residences but nobody has seen or heard anything.

2226 – A female reported there is a light on at her daughter's house and it looks like someone is walking around, however the daughter is currently at the caller’s house. No one has a keys to the place. A deputy arrived to the house and there are no broken windows. The south side door was capable of opening. There was no one inside.

Tuesday, Nov. 7

0234 – A public assist call was recorded. It was just hunters parked for the night.

0952 – A male called a deputy on their personal phone stating an act of vandalism at the Feed Lot. Their security camera is damaged.

1026 – A male called stating there are some out of state hunters that are out by the power houses field dressing a deer. Fish and Game was provided the information.

1043 – A female called wanting to make a report for record. She states she went to a company party last Saturday, Nov. 4. A coworkers father tried to intimidate her because the coworker has been telling him she has been bullying him. She states she has not been bullying him, in fact he has been bullying her. She just wants it on record.

1043 – A male called because he stated he had to have a vehicle towed and was told he has a warrant out for his arrest out of Valley County. Dispatch looked him up and found a District Court warrant with a $5,000 bond. He stated he was told years ago by the judge the warrant was no longer active. After checking history, it shows a warrant that was recalled but there is an active warrant from March 2016 for various charges. He doesn’t understand where this warrant would have come from so he was put through to the Valley County Attorney’s Office to speak with someone about the warrant.

1312 – A male reported a red car on the shoulder. It’s front end is smashed in. There is no damage to the bridge and couldn’t find any antifreeze anywhere around to see what the vehicle hit. Deputy arrived who advised there is deer hair all over the grill of the car so it appears they probably hit a deer.

1830 – A deer was moved off the highway and DOT was contacted.

2145 – The caller can hear screaming and fighting in the upstairs apartment. She doesn’t know who lives there. At 2149, officer advised the arguing stopped and will be speaking with some individuals.

Wednesday, Nov. 8

2008 – Received a call from a survey center. The woman dispatch spoke with said she would take the number off their list.

2036 – A female called stating she needs a locksmith to get into her house. She was provided numbers for the locksmiths.

Thursday, Nov. 9

0112 – Reporting party called and said a woman is banging on her door, causing something to fall off the wall because she was hitting the door so hard. The woman is drunk and the reporting party is afraid of her. The woman is pounding on the window and the caller is afraid it’s going to break. Officer arrived who later advised he has the suspect woman in his vehicle. A PBT of .0217 was logged for the arrestee.

0403 – Reporting party called and said the woman who was arrested tonight called him, worried about her vehicle. She told him she didn’t have her keys on her when she was arrested and now she is worried her vehicle will get stolen. An officer later advised the vehicle is parked behind the apartments.

0849 – A male called stating he is in a semi truck and now has to go to Thompson’s but can’t turn around there. He is not comfortable just backing out onto the highway. As they were talking he said someone is now stopped out on the highway and motioning him to go ahead and back up. He stated he is comfortable with the guy blocking traffic for him.

1043 – A male called stating there was a dog jumping at his fence making his dog go crazy. He would like an officer to come get the dog.

1102 – A male called stating he just witnessed a motor vehicle accident. He states a car just hit a parked truck. The male is still in the vehicle. At 1116, an officer advised both vehicles are disabled at this time and he has not been able to make contact with the truck’s owner yet.

1121 – A female called stating she was told she needed to report she hit a deer yesterday. She is currently at the hotel’s front desk.
