For the week of Oct. 2 through 9, there were 16 motor vehicle stops, four reports of loose dogs, nine reports of loose livestock, one report of a missing dog and four requests for a VIN inspection.

There were no calls reported for Saturday, Oct. 1

Sunday, Oct. 2

0711 – A suspicious person was reported. An officer dropped the individual off at her residence.

0754 – The VFW called to state they will be burning the old flags. They haven’t burned for a while so there are several needing disposed of. They are burning in a container. Later a female called and wanted to know about the heavy black smoke and she was informed it was the burning of the flags. An officer later stated dispatch may be getting more calls as the smoke is noticeable.

1705 – Reporting party stated when he went to take a photo next to his name on Scottie Pride Drive, a white truck drove through the barricade and through the section of the football players names, leaving tire tracks in the paint. He has photos of the tracks and damage. The vehicle was headed north and turned left onto Airport Road.

1854 – Caller reported a drive off for $77.93 heading east bound on US 2. A description of the vehicle and driver was provided.

Monday, Oct. 3

1538 – Caller reported a white van headed westbound, with their front and black license plate spray painted black. There’s also a gas can on top. Roosevelt County and deputy were notified. The deputy advised he traveled to Oswego and did not come across the vehicle.

1952 – Deputy called in stating he just hit a deer. There are no injuries and he doesn’t see much damage to the vehicle. Later it was advised the car is having mechanical issues.

2235 – Caller reported she hit a deer. She’s not injured and the deer is dead. The deer was drug off to the north side of the Tampico Road and she drove the vehicle home. There is damage to the front end and the vehicle is leaking antifreeze. A message was left for DOT about the deer.

Tuesday, Oct. 4

0255 – Caller reported a blue vehicle that is parked on the side of the road. He states it has been there for about a week now. It belongs to a waitress that works at the local establishment. A voicemail was left for the registered owner.

1127 – Reporting party called in stating her ex-boyfriend came into her house last night when everyone was sleeping She doesn’t want him doing that again as she is pregnant and has other small kids there also. She wanted to know what she could do. She was advised to speak to a victim witness advocate and get a letter of no contact. If that doesn’t help then she would need to go to court and get a TOP against him.

1558 – Reporting party called to report a scam call he just received. They wanted him to pay or they would subpoena him. He didn’t give any information and ended up hanging up on them. He wanted dispatch to know.

1600 – A female wanted to talk to a deputy as she was kicked out of her residence and now he won’t let her get her things. She was patched up with a deputy.

1829 – Deputy advised someone found a wallet and turned it into him. He will try to contact the owner. Later, the deputy advised the owner was contacted. The owner advised they can give the money that was in the wallet to the kid that found it.

Wednesday, Oct. 5

0058 – A public assist call was reported. It was advised a female was just taking pictures of the moon.

0120 – Reporting party states she locked herself out of her house and wanted to know if an officer could help. She is barefooted and cold. There is a window open but she can’t get the screen off. At 0137, an officer advised the party is back in her residence.

1049 – Reporting party called stating she has four dead calves, one sick cow and another that is sick but doesn’t know if it is a calf or yearling. An officer is requested to her place and also requested cameras be set up in at least two to three different locations as they have found different locations where someone is getting on the property.

1352 – Reporting party stated a while back he got two lifetime subscriptions to Sirius Radio. He gave one to his sister and kept the other for himself. He states his sister passed away so he gave the one she had to his son. He now has found out that his sister’s boyfriend has taken the subscription his sister was given and switched it to a radio he has. A $35 free to the party’s card was charged through Sirius Radio. Officer talked to the reporting party and everything was resolved.

1606 – Caller reported a driver flew by on Front Street about five minutes ago. He’s concerned because school just got out and kids are walking home. A description of the vehicle and direction of travel was provided.

Thursday, Oct. 6

0850 – Reporting party called stating her son-in-law received a call that was meant for her. It stated it was “an urgent message regarding an account,” however it was unknown what kind of account. A call back number was provided which the reporting party reversed called and the number doesn’t exist. The caller was advised it was a scam most likely and to not call the other number provided.

1556 – Caller reported there’s a big man going door to door. A description of the male was provided. It was advised the male is a Democratic candidate.

1816 – Caller reported he found a Ruger 22 on one of their vacuums. He asked some kids if it belonged to them and it didn’t, He put the gun in his vehicle. The serial number was provided and the gun is not reported stolen in the system.

1915 – Caller reported he hit a deer and is not injured. A description of the vehicle was provided. There is minor damage to the vehicle.

2016 – Caller reported a deer needing to be shot. It’s laying down but trying to get up. Another call came in reporting a deer that was hit and is not getting up. At 2025, deputy advised the deer has been dispatched. A voicemail for DOT was provided.

2123 – Caller stated he locked his keys in his car. Numbers were provided for the locksmiths.

Friday, Oct. 7

0103 – Abandoned vehicle by a stop sign was reported.

0751 – Reporting party called to report a dead deer in the eastbound driving lane of Tampico Highway before the bridge. MT DOT was notified.

0944 – Reporting party called stating she is out at Fort Peck and there is a lot of smoke out there. MCSO Dispatch was notified to see if they have anyone burning and they don’t as far as dispatch knows and no one has called in a request for a permit. Deputy advised she drove all the way to the Dam and all she sees is clouds and fog.

1259 – A male reported to a deputy that his vehicle was broken into. It was advised there is no break-in. A male was just putting something in the waitress’ car for her. Someone saw this and told them about it, but the reporting party stated they should report it since the waitress said no. There was no crime committed.

1438 – A female called in stating a male has taken her car without her permission. A description of the vehicle was provided. She would like an officer to call him and tell him he has to return it immediately. At 1711, the reporting party called stating her mother got her car back.

1518 – Officer advised he just gave a verbal warning to someone that works at Nemont. They have a side by side with blue lights and they just kind of did whatever they wanted on the wrong side of the road. It was advised they can’t have the blue lights or do that behavior.

1544 – Caller reported he was bit by a dog while riding his bike. A description of the dog was provided.

1724 – Reporting party called in an abandoned vehicle that has been on her road for two or three weeks. She states it isn’t off the road and she is worried someone may hit it. Later, an officer reported he spoke with the registered owner of the vehicle and she stated when her boyfriend get here they will try to move it. It was advised if she can’t get it moved it will be towed.

1910 – Reporting party said she hit a deer on Tampico Road. The deer is dead and in the ditch. Her vehicle is currently parked at a nearby house.

2031 – Deputy requested dispatch let an officer know there’s a white vehicle with one headlight and no taillights headed to Glasgow. At 2051, it was advised the vehicle could not be located.

2034 – Officer advised he’d be removing a bunch of branches on the road.

2118 – Reporting party stated his van broke down. It is off the road and not a hazard. He will get someone to tow it either in the morning or Monday at the latest.

Saturday, Oct. 8

0751 – Reporting party called to let us know that the crossing is malfunctioning. The lights are flashing indicating a train when there is not one.

2032 – A deer is in the road and is still alive. It was hit. At 2047, the deer was unable to be located.

2033 – Reporting party stated a silver truck from Billings is driving recklessly, speeding and whipping donuts. The vehicle is parked and a male went into a room. The male was attempted to be located however was unsuccessful. Officer spoke to the supervisor who will tell everyone to treat their company vehicles properly and not do donuts.

2314 – Reporting party stated a vehicle is shooting toward her house and were also spotlighting. She could hear the laughing as they left. She did not have vehicle information other than it was a truck. Deputies patrolled and were unable to locate the truck.

Sunday, Oct. 9

0458 – Reporting party stated people with the school bus in front are outside yelling and going on. This goes on quite often and is making the caller’s dogs crazy. The officer responded and heard no noise. The officer spoke to the reporting party who reiterated they heard the noise but did not see exactly who or where it was. The officer did another loop around the area and did not hear any noise anywhere in the area.
