Nashua Boys Finish Season with Two Losses

Nashua’s boys basketball team ended their regular season with two losses at home. They fell 58-30 to the Scobey Spartans on Friday and lost 54-29 to the Richey/Lambert Fusion on Saturday.

The Porcupines trailed 12-8, 19-16 and 40-25 after each of the first three quarters.

Grady Nielsen scored 11 points with three treys to lead Nashua. Caden Laumeyer added 10 points while Xander Pugh, Kevan Viste and Ethan Noser each added 3 points.

Nashua had seven fouls, all in the first half. Noser had three and Laumeyer two while Pugh and Walker Laumeyer had one a piece.

Saturday night Nashua trailed Richey/Lambert 13-2 after one and 26-15 at the half. They were outscored 19-4 in the third quarter.

Pugh led the Porcupines with 12 points, including a three-pointer. W. Laumeyer and C. Laumeyer each scored 6 points and Viste added 5, with a trey.

Nashua had eight fouls split evenly between the halves. W. Laumeyer was called for half the total while Pugh, Viste, Bubba Pugh and C. Laumeyer had one each.

Nashua faces Dodson in round one of the District 3-C Tournament this week in Wolf Point. The Porcupines and the Coyotes meet at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 16.
