Serving Proudly As The Voice Of Valley County Since 1913

Valley View Administrator On Continued No Visitor Policy

We at Valley View Home want to provide the community an update on our current restrictions due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The phases that have been implemented do not pertain to nursing homes and that our current restrictions in place are based upon State and Government restrictions and guidelines.

Our staff are angry and frustrated about these restrictions but we are aware that loved ones of our residents are much more upset. Our hearts go out to every one of our visitors and our amazing volunteers. We are praying for their return to our “new norm.”

Valley View staff and residents are educated and updated frequently because new information from State and Government are constantly providing new data and regulations accordingly to ensure nursing homes are prepared for possible outbreaks and the work is difficult. We are fortunate that our County and State officials have been very transparent with us while we all work together for the common interest of our residents’ safety. Our staff abide by State social distancing rules but they are also assessed and temperature checked once or twice daily depending upon their shift length. They wear masks while working with our residents and like all health support personnel their hands are dry and skin cracking due to the non-stop use of hand washing and sanitizing throughout their day.

I am happy to inform you that our State accepted our grant application and we will soon have enough Ipads for any of our residents who want to FaceTime their loved ones at their convenience. Visitors are still welcome to see our residents from their room windows while maintaining a six-foot distance as well.

We at Valley View Home want to thank you for your patience and support throughout this pandemic and if you see my staff, please thank them for their diligent and caring love to our wonderful residents.
