The 2018 Eastern BC Divisional wrestling champions. Back row (l-r): Cale Swanson, Matt Reyling, Darrin Wersal, Oden Hallock, John Cremer and Cooper Larson. Front row (l-r): Kaden Zimmerman, Keagan Thompson, Dylan Nieskens, Colten Fast, Tel Aune, Alex Ost, Kevin McDonald and Mayson Phipps.

Glasgow's 2018 wrestling squad is on its way to the state tournament in Billings, and they plan on returning with hardware.

Head coach Jory Casterline is pleased with the Scotties' performance at the divisional tournament in Baker Feb. 3, where they captured the team title and crowned two individual champs. But, he said, "We want more."

Glasgow is sending 12 hungry competitors to the state competition, which will be held Feb. 9 and 10, at the MetraPark. "We had a great weekend (in Baker)," explained Casterline. "Now our goal is to bring home a trophy from state. That is our mindset."

Without a doubt, he has the team that can do it. All 14 wrestlers that competed in Baker finished in the top five, including two first-place finishes from Oden Hallock and Colten Fast, and 12 punched their ticket to the state tournament.

Casterline expects to be chasing Eureka and Colstrip for placement at the tournament, and predicts Malta will be looking to chase the Scotties down.
