Fahlgren Correction

Fahlgren Correction

Note: The Courier regrets any misrepresentations resulting from a poor quality recording and apparent miscommunication between candidate Fahlgren and reporter Dane Osen.

I was surprised and disappointed that my interview was presented without the other two candidates. My understanding was all the candidates were to be asked the same questions and my assumption was all would appear in same issue so as not to allow anyone to benefit. At the least there should have been a lead-in saying this is the first of three interviews with the candidates.

Additionally, there are a few factual errors that could have been caught had I had a chance to review.

2nd page, second paragraph; 1) The sentence should read "The sage grouse was eventually Not Listed, in part due to the success of the Sage-grouse Initiative. (As written the Sage-grouse was listed) that little "not" was big news around the west, and should have been caught in your review, even without me looking at it.

2) We do not raise Certified Angus Beef, but purebred Angus cattle.

2nd page, 3rd paragraph; 3) "as long as bison are managed under the laws dealing with livestock I think it is something that is manageable" (not "magical"). I will catch heck on that one.

4) 2nd page, 4th paragraph; In talking about subdivision roads I believe I said "commissioners have authority to make all those county roads, or not." (not "but they are not") which sounds like a criticism, which was not my intent.

John Fahlgren,

Glasgow
