The Lustre Christian Lions hit the court for two volleyball matches on the road last week. The Lions fell to the Bulldogs in Bainville Oct. 5 in three sets, 10-25, 18-25, 23-25 before losing to the North Country Mavericks in Hinsdale Oct. 7, also in three sets, 22-25, 20-25, 13-25. The 2023 Glasgow Middle School football season concluded last week with a trio of games. The Scotties defeated the Wolf Point Wolves in a thrilling double overtime game at home Oct. 5 by a score of 32-30. Glasgow hosted the Malta Mustangs Oct. 7 for their final games. The Nashua volleyball team packed in three matches last week, traveling to Glasgow, Scobey and Lambert. The Porcupines lost their first match to the Scottie JV squad 13-25, 10-25, 20-25 Oct. 2. Nashua fell in Scobey Oct. 6 in three sets, 7-25, 3-25, 7-25. In Lambert for the Richey/Lambert Invite Oct. 7, the Porcupines hit the court against the Froid/Lake Redhawks and the MonDak Thunder. Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks along with the Montana Department of Health and Human Services are advising hunters to have their deer, elk and moose tested for chronic wasting disease (CWD). FWP strongly recommends that hunters receive a negative CWD test result before bringing their deer, elk or moose to a meat processor or donating it to a food bank.
