Glasgow High School Student Council will be hosting its 2nd Annual Teddy Bear Toss between the varsity basketball games on Thursday, Jan. 6, (Glasgow vs North Country) at Glasgow High School gymnasium. The girls' varsity game is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. and the boys' game is set to begin at 8 p.m. Those attending are asked to bring new or gently used stuffed animals that they are willing to donate for the event. At the given time, people are asked to throw their stuffed animals on the gym floor....
The Northeast Montana Relay For Life Event Leadership Team is happy to announce that their Skate for a Cure is back! After a year without it, the group is proud to bring back the law enforcement agencies vs. the fire departments in a clash on the ice. This is the kick-off event for this year's Northeast Montana Relay For Life to be held in August. Featured activities will be a 50/50 drawing, a rubber ducky toss, and more. The 13th Annual Festival of Trees on Nov. 17 and 18, was a huge success! There were a record number of entries, 140 people were served at the Prime Rib dinner and more money was raised than ever at the auction. The People's Choice winners were Amy Aune's centerpiece entitled "Frosty" and JBR's tree "Christmas Brilliance." They will each receive Chamber Big Bucks. Overall, it was a great festival.... The 1st annual Paint/Run Walk will take place in Glasgow on Saturday, Aug. 8. The registration starts at 8 a.m. at the Glasgow Civic Center and the run/walk begins at 9 a.m. This is a 2.5-mile fun run/walk with proceeds to benefit the Wounded Warrior Project. It is sponsored by the Glasgow High School Student Council and the Glasgow Recreation Department. The race begins in front of the Glasgow Civic Center and proceeds north for two blocks before turning left and heading west on 2nd Ave. South. At the edge of town, participants will turn left...
