Aurora Skies

Night owls around the County received a spectacular sight from Mother Nature the evenings of May 9 through 11 as the Aurora was visible with the naked eye. One didn't have to go too far from their house to see the amazing colors caused by the eruption of solar material. The display was so magnificent, even cell phone cameras captured the beauty. This photo was taken with an iPhone in Opheim on May 10.
