Lustre Track Ends Regular Season

The Lustre track teams attended the Scobey Froshmore Invite in Wolf Point April 23, the Whitewater Invitational and the Glendive Shriners Invitational, both April 26, last week. The Lions also competed at the 42nd Annual Norm Girard Top 10 Meet in Glasgow April 29 and the Gene Nelson Memorial Invite in Wolf Point May 3.

At the Froshmore Invite, the boys scored 59.5 points to take fourth place while the girls scored 10 points to tie for 11th place. The underclassmen boys set nine personal bests in Wolf Point while the girls hit three. In Whitewater, the girls scored 21 points for seventh place with eight personal and two season records. The boys in attendance had 48.33 points for fifth place with 11 personal and one season records. The remainder of the boys team in Glendive scored 38 points for fifth place with nine personal bests and one season record.

The boys at the top 10 meet set two personal records. In Wolf Point at the Gene Nelson they established 12 personal records and three season records while finishing third as a team with 59 points. The Lustre girls tied for 12th at the Gene Nelson with two points and three personal records.

Froshmore Invite

Girls

Lauryn Holzrichter placed third out of seven in the 300m hurdles with a personal best 54.88 time. She took fourth out of eight in the triple jump at 28-05.00, a personal record. Holzrichter took 14th out of 32 in the long jump at 12-01.00.

Boys

Emeka Aniobi and Diek Olfert set personal records in the 100 meters. Aniobi placed fifth out of 42 at 12.45 while Olfert took 20th at 13.00. Aniobi took fifth out of 24 in the 200 meters with a personal record 25.60 time.

Olfert placed third in the 800 meters out of 13 at 2:22.23. Hadden Olfert placed seventh with a personal best 2:27.45. Joseph Lee ran a 2:54.93 for 13th place. In the 3200 meters, Prestyn Klatt outpaced seven other runners with a personal best 11:10.49 time.

Lee, Cam Reddig, Jacob Rigby and Aniobi combined for a 51.60 and third place out of seven showings in the 4x100 relay.

Rigby took 33rd out of 39 in the discus with a 55-06 throw. H. Olfert threw 79-02 in the javelin to finish 13th out of 23 in the event.

Reddig cleared 5-06.00, a personal best, in the high jump to take first out of seven. D. Olfert cleared 5-02.00 for fifth place.

D. Olfert and Reddig tied for fourth out of 31 in the long jump at 17-04.00, a peronsal best for Reddig. Rigby jumped a personal best 14-06.00 for 23rd place.

Reddig won the triple jump out of 14 with a 39-04.50 distance, a personal best. D. Olfert jumped 36-03.00 for third place and P. Klatt took ninth at 33-04.00.

Whitewater Invitational

Girls

Abby Olfert took third in the 100 meters at 15.09 while Jaden Gibson ran a personal best 16.69 to take 10th out of 19 in the race. Holzrichter took fourth out of 10 in the 300m hurdles at 57.42. Olfert and Gibson set personal bests at 1:01.89 and 1:18.55 for eighth and 10th, respectively. Holzrichter, Gibson, Merdith Valentine and Olfert combined for a second place showing out of three in the 4x100 relay at 1:94.30.

Valentine set a season record in the shot put at 22-09.00 for 13th out of 20 places. She also set a season record in the discus at 57-07 and took 13th place out of 20 throwers. In the javelin, she set a personal record of 57-03 to finish in 13th out of 19 in the event.

Holzrichter's 4-04.00 height in the high jump was a personal record and earned her fifth out of five. She took seventh in the long jump out of 19 with a personal best 12-06.00. Gibson was right behind her in eighth place with a personal best 12-05.00. Olfert jumped a personal best 11-11.50 for 10th place while Valentine took 19th at 8-01.00. Holzrichter took sixth out of six in the triple jump with a 26-08.50 distance.

Glendive Shriners

Terran Joseph led the team in the 100 meters, taking second out of 62 with a personal best 11.25 time. Brian Guedes also set a personal record at 12.11 and took 26th place. Aniobi ran a 12.61 for 47th place.

Joseph also led the Lions in the 200 meters, taking third out of 54 with a personal best 22.90. Byron Ewing took 18th at 24.82, also a personal record. Aniobi ran a personal best 30.39 for 54th place.

Ewing and Aniobi both set personal records in the 400 meters. Ewing ran a 55.89 for eighth while Aniobi ran a 59.28 for 24th out of 47 runners.

D. Olfert took 11th out of 38 in the 800 meters at 2:19.33. Klatt ran a personal best 4:57.15 in the 1600 meters for 10th out of 37 runners. He took fifth in the 3200 meters out of 19 at 11:17.70.

Johnslee Pierre won the 300m hurdles out of 18 racers with a 42.24. He took fourth in the 110m hurdles out of 18 with a 17.17 time.

Guedes, Pierre, Ewing and Joseph took fifth out of nine in the 4x100 relay with a 46.03 time.

Mason Hilkemann threw 37-05.50 in the shot put to take 31st out of 56 in the event. He took 19th out of 46 in the discus with a personal best 109-04 throw.

Pierre placed third out of 42 in the long jump with a season record 20-07.50 leap. Joseph jumped 19-00.75 for 13th followed by Guedes in 14th at 18-11.50. D. Olfert jumped 17-04.75 for 32nd place.

Norm Girard Top 10

Boys

Joseph took third in the 100 meters with an 11.40 and second in the 200 meters with a 23.27 time.

P. Klatt set a personal record in the 1600 meters at 4:50.24 and took fifth place.

Pierre placed second in the 300m hurdles with a 42.09 time. He won the long jump with a personal best 21-06.00 distance. Guedes placed eighth with an 18-07-50 jump.

Pierre earned third in the triple jump with a 42-02.00 distance. Cam Reddig jumped 36-04.00 for 10th place.

Guedes, Ewing, Joseph and Pierre won the 4x100 relay with a combined 3:32.85 time.

Memorial Invite

Girls

Gibson ran a 16.89 in the 100 meters to finish 17th out of 46. In the 200 meters she took 32nd out of 34 with a 37.62 time.

Holzrichter set personal records in the 100m and 300m hurdles. She took seventh out of 15 in the 100m with a 20.59 and fifth out of 13 in the 300m at 54.52.

Valentine led the Lions in the shot put, throwing 21-10.00 for 25th of 39 in the event. Cassidy Grider finished in 36th at 16-10.00 followed by Sarah Dahl in 37th with a 16-07.00 throw.

Dahl took 32nd out of 36 in the discus with a 41-05 throw. Grider threw 34-10 for 34th place.

Valentine threw 56-04 in the javelin to take 33rd out of 42 competitors. Dahl finished in 41st at 44-01 followed by Grider in 42nd with a 29-00 throw.

Holzrichter placed seventh out of 10 in the high jump after clearing 4-04.00. She took 19th out of 36 in the long jump at 12-07.50, a personal best. Gibson jumped 9-09.00 for 35th followed by Valentine in 36th with a 9-04.75 jump.

Holzrichter put up a 26-08.00 distance in the triple jump for 14th place out of 15 in the event.

Boys

Joseph won the 100, 200 and 400 meters. He beat 64 others in the 100 with a 12.01 time. He ran a 23.90 in the 200 to beat 29 others. In the 400 he set a personal record at 53.78 and beat 16 other runners.

Guedes and Ifeanyi Aniobi placed 16th and 17th in the 100 meters at 12.89 and 12.94, respectively. E. Aniobi ran a 13.45 for 28th place. Lee finished 49th at 14.14.

Ewing placed ninth in the 200 with a 25.50 time. Guedes set a personal record and finished ninth with a 25.75 time. Lee also set a personal record, taking 23rd at 28.06.

Ewing also earned fourth in the 400 meters with a 56.29 time.

In the 800 meters, P. Klatt and Lee set personal records. P. Klatt ran a 2:18.38 for fourth out of 18 while Lee took 14th at 2:50.24. In the 1600 meters, P. Klatt also took fourth, out of 32, at 5:08.81.

D. Olfert led the Lions in the 3200 meters, taking 16th out of 20 at 13:22.77, a season record. Clay Reddig and C. Klatt finished neck-and-neck in 18th and 19th. The former set a personal record at 14:45.11 and the latter ran a season-best 14:45.14.

C. Reddig and E. Aniobi set personal records in the 300m hurdles. C. Reddig ran a 48.77 for third out of 14 while E. Aniobi took 12th at 54.06.

Guedes, Ewing, E. Aniobi and Joseph combined to second out of 11 in the 4x100 relay with a 46.35.

Hilkemann threw 37-06.00 in the shot put to take 11th out of 55 competitors. C. Klatt took 34th at 30-05.00.

In the discus, Hilkemann placed 28th out of 65 with an 89-09 throw. C. Klatt threw 80-08 for 33rd place. Clay Reddig hit a personal best 76-03 and took 44th place while H. Olfert took 53rd with a 69-07 throw.

Hilkemann also led the Lions in the javelin, finishing in 18th out of 55 places and with a season-best 106-04 throw. C. Klatt took 21st at 101-10 and H. Olfert threw 99-07, a personal record, for 25th place. Clay Reddig finished 34th at 78-11 followed by P. Klatt in 36th at 77-06, a personal best. Rigby threw 50-05 to take 54th place.

Joseph took fifth in the long jump, out of 55, with a 19-00.50 jump. Guedes finished sixth at 18-08.50. Cam Reddig tied for 11th with a personal best 17-09.50 jump. D. Olfert ended in a tie for 15th with a 17-05.00 jump. Rigby finished in 42nd at 13-08.25.

Cam Reddig led Lustre in the triple jump, taking seventh out of 21 with a 35-07.50 distance. D. Olfert finished right behind him in eighth and a 34-09.00 distance. P. Klatt put up 30-10.00 distance for 18th place and Rigby took 20th at 27-00.00.

The Lions enter the postseason this Saturday, May 11, at the 3C District Meet in Wolf Point. Events begin at 9 a.m.
