Frazer Track Starts Season in Lewistown

The Frazer track and field team started the 2024 season at the Fergus Invite in Lewistown April 4. Isabelle Even, Maci Fourstar-Sibley, Baily Beston, Mariah Beston, Aubrey Mail, Kalianna Blount and Lola Romero competed for the girls while Ty Fourstar, Gabe Beston, Christopher Fox, Travis Long, Cassius Smoker and Joseph Beston represented the boys for the Bearcubs.

Girls

Even led the girls in the 100 meters, taking 66th place out of 83 runners with a time of 15.75. Fourstar-Sibley was right behind her at 15.96 and 67th place. B. Beston ran a 16.20 for 71st place and M. Beston took 79th at 18.03. Mail ran a 20.32 for 82nd followed by Blount in 83rd with a personal record time of 22.85.

Fourstar-Sibley led Frazer in the 1600 meters with a time of 6:47.84 and 15th place, out of 32 competitors. M. Beston ran an 8:12.23 for 30th with Mail right behind her in 31st with a time of 8:28.75. Blount placed 32nd at 9:21.38.

Fourstar-Sibley, B. Beston, Romero and Even ran a combined 1:01.29 in the 4x100 relay for 15th place out of 17 teams.

Romero placed 47th out of 66 competitors in the shot put with a personal record throw of 20-04.00.

Boys

T. Fourstar led the Bearcubs in the 100 meters with a personal best 12.81 and 63rd place, out of 121 runners. G. Beston ran a personal record 13.97 for 107th followed by Fox in 109th and Long in 110th place. Both of the latter set personal bests with Fox running a 14.21 and Long a 14.23.

G. Beston and Long took 42nd and 48th, respectively, out of 52 competitors in the 400 meters with personal bests. G. Beston ran a 1:03.09 and Long finished in 1:06.08.

In the 800 meters, G. Beston ran a 2:27.34, a personal record, and took 27th place out of 44 racers. Smoker also set a personal record – 3:08.86 – and finished in 44th place.

In the 1600 meters, G. Beston and Long set personal records. G. Beston placed 50th out of 40 runners with a time of 6:02. 79 while Long ran a 6:24.51 for 37th place. Smoker ran a 7:04.93 and took 40th place.

J. Beston set a personal record of 38-00.00 in the shot put and took 17th place out of 93 competitors. Fox set a personal best at 28-08.00 and took 62nd while Fourstar finished in 66th with a throw of 27-11.00.

Fox threw a 77-09 in the discus to take 39th out of 68 throwers. Fourstar took 25th in the javelin, out of 83 throwers, with a throw of 114-05.

In the long jump, both Fourstar an Smoker set personal records. Fourstar jumped a 19-10.50 for third place out of 72 competitors. Smoker took 71st with a distance of 10-07.00.

The Bearcubs were scheduled to attend the Cal Wearly Memorial Meet in Havre today, April. 10, after it was rescheduled from April 6. Frazer is set to attend the Northeast Invitational in Scobey Saturday, April 13.
