Glasgow's Superintendent Accepts Position in Cut Bank

On March 12, Glasgow School Superintendent Wade Sundby accepted the superintendent position at Cut Bank School. According to KLTZ/Mix-93, Sundby interviewed for the position on March 4 and was one of two candidates interviewed by the Cut Bank School Board. Sundby will start this new position on July 1.

During the regular school board meeting on March 20, Sundby’s resignation as superintendent was presented for approval. After the board’s motion carried to accept the resignation, the trustees considered their options for selecting a new superintendent effective the 2024-2025 school year.

Superintendent Sundby stated he had communicated with the Montana School Boards Association (MTSBA) and they indicated it was best practice to open the position externally. Trustee Ryan Fast made the motion to open the position both internally and externally while Trustee Blaine White seconded where the motion then passed unanimously.

Due to the already tight budget the District is facing, Chairman Angie Page stated she is not in favor of using an external service to help fill the position and instead prefers the search be handled within the board. Superintendent Sundby stated the opening will be posted on the MT Jobs for Teachers website also.

Superintendent Sundby has been serving as the Glasgow School’s Superintendent since the 2019-2020 school year, replacing then Superintendent Bob Connors.
