Darla Kay Jordan, 52, of Conrad, Mont., died suddenly and unexpectedly on Thursday, Nov. 16.
Services are pending and a memorial service will be at a later date.
Darla was born Oct. 21, 1971, in Glasgow, Mont. She attended school in Glasgow and graduated from Glasgow High School in 1991. After graduating she moved to Conrad to live with her sister and got her first job at Town Pump in Shelby, Mont. She also worked at Gary and Leo's IGA in Conrad.
Darla was known to many as DJ. She will be remembered for her kindness and smile that could light up a room. She also will be remembered for her encouraging Facebook posts and messages. Darla had the chance to go on her first plane ride with her sister and niece to Minneapolis in 2021 and that was one of the most exciting times for her. She will be very missed by all that knew her.
She is preceded in death by her grandma, Pauline Schakosky and grandpa Roy Schakosky. She also is preceded in death by her mom, Anna Schakosky; a brother Clarence Schack; and an aunt Marie Mele.
Darla is survived by her brother Ed (Phoebe) Schack, of Glasgow, sister Jolene (Erik) Dommer, of Conrad, and sister Amanda Allen, of Glasgow. She is also survived by an uncle Leo Schakosky and an aunt Diane Schakosky, both of Glasgow; nephews Michael (Kathleen) Dommer, of San Jose, Calif., Timothy (Kathryn) Dommer, of Billings, Mont., Heidi Dommer, of Conrad, and Josh (Taylen) Schack, of Glasgow; four great nieces and nephews with a fifth on the way in January; her God parents, Bruce and Jeannie Riley, of Kalispell, Mont. She is also survived by many cousins and friends who will miss her dearly. She will be greatly missed by her kitties, Shaggy, Abbie and Champ.
