David Stanley

David Jon Stanley, of Billings, Mont., age 50, passed away on Monday, Oct. 23, 2023.

Celebration of life and remembrance will be held on Saturday, Nov. 11, at the Hilands Golf Club, 714 Poly Dr, Billings. Open house from 1 to 4 p.m., with memorial service at 2 p.m.

David was born in Julesburg, Colo., on May 26, 1973, to Ann Lorraine Stanley (Kuskie) and Gregory Leigh Stanley. David was the second of three sons. David spent his early childhood in Big Springs, Neb. David moved to Montana in 1979 with his Mom and two brothers eventually settling in Glasgow, Mont. David spent many summers back in Big Springs with his grandparents, aunts and uncles and many cousins. David enjoyed farming with his family in Nebraska and worked for some of the local farmers in Glasgow as well.

David met his best friend and love of his life Denise Angermeier in 1994 and they were married Dec. 3, 1999. They had two beautiful boys, Sean and Loren. David was a devoted family man and always there to spend time with his boys. He enjoyed a good family BBQ and was always in charge of smoking the meat. He was always available to help anyone and was a great listener to his family and friends. David enjoyed his daily chats with his brothers.

David worked hard to get his trucking business started. He celebrated 25 years and two million miles accident free with Whitewood Transport. He was proud of his work and accomplishments, receiving several driving awards. His business allowed him to travel to all the lower 48 states and parts of Canada.

He was preceded in death by his father, Gregory Stanley; and grandparents Minnie Splitter (Kuskie Anderson), Delmont Splitter, Helen Stanley (Hefti) and John Stanley.

David is survived by his wife Denise of 23 years; his sons Sean and Loren; mother Ann Stanley; brothers Scott (Angela) and Steven (Amanda) their children Haley, Rachel and Levi; sisters-in-law Shannon Fargo (Rod), their daughter, Courtney, Kristi Sevareid (Eric), their children, Alex, Sara and Tyson, and Tammy Fewer (Ron), their children, Kayla and Colton; and brother-in-law Fred C. Angermeier (Helen), their children Remy and Lily.
