For the week of Sept. 11 through 17, there were 26 motor vehicle stops, one report of a loose dog and three reports of loose livestock.

Monday, Sept. 11

1116 – Calling party states there is a vehicle that is parked at the State Land which is about 200 feet west of her mailbox. She noticed the vehicle there yesterday at about 1500 and it hasn’t moved. She remembers seeing a single male getting out of the vehicle but is not sure if there is anyone else around with him. She doesn’t know if the vehicle is or if the person is all right. The caller provided the plate and description of the vehicle. The owner was contacted who stated he is good, he was just enjoying the weather.

1349 – After numerous attempts to get connected with the 911 call, the operator with a heavy foreign accent stated he got a call from a client that needs a tow. She provided a phone number but was not able to provide further information. A deputy was notified who saw an abandoned truck at the information center. He was able to make contact with someone who stated there were people with transmission trouble from Minnesota in the area. They are getting someone to tow the vehicle to Wolf Point.

1455 – The Water Department stated the address provided is draining a pool and is causing the Department to get calls about water running on 6th Ave N. and 8th St. N. There is no water break, and may drain for a day.

1558 – Reporting party called to state his vehicle is disabled on the south side of the highway. MHP was notified.

1936 – Deputy reported a man tried to flag her down

Tuesday, Sept. 12

0336 – Roosevelt County SO dispatch stated Tribal Security reported the duplex that is under construction looked to have a board pried off of the front door and gotten inside. It was advised a deputy pulled over the guy who is working on the construction of the building and she believed he was the one who pulled the board off. There is no other vandalism to the deputy’s knowledge.

0922 – Reporting party stated there is a white vehicle that is driving erratically and is on both sides of the highway. Deputy requested that PCSO and MHP be notified as he doesn’t believe he will be able to catch up to the vehicle.

1123 – Reporting party called in to report an erratic driver. She states he is speeding and passed her like she was sitting still. The driver is weaving in and out of traffic. A description of the vehicle was provided. Information was passed along to PCSO dispatch.

1235 – Reporting party called advising someone has run into the fence at a substation and caused damage to it. Information was also passed along to MHP.

1257 - Deputy advised he is out with an RV who is stuck in the underpass. Deputy advised they will have to unhook a car to get the RV backed out of there.

1426 – Reporting party called in stating this time she wants to file a complaint on her neighbors. Their dog is loose again and this time has gotten into some stuff.

1515 – Caller reported that a Buick has been parked in front of his house for eight to nine months now. He said someone left it there and then didn’t come back. He doesn’t know the male’s last name. The vehicle was causing a problem last winter. It was requested to call a wrecker to pick up the vehicle.

1736 – Reporting party said the neighbor has some property on the vacant lot. The owner told the reporting party that he doesn’t want anyone messing around with his property while the reporting party said there is a male currently at the lot trying to make a boat. It was determined it was all a misunderstanding.

2154 – A male dropped off a cell phone that he found in the street. He called a number on the phone and was told by a woman who the phone belonged to. At 2207, the owner of the phone stopped by dispatch and picked up the phone.

Wednesday, Sept. 13

0859 – It was advised they have a Work Zone set up and would like an officer out there for traffic control.

1143 – Reporting party advised she got a call last night from a male who said he was her grandson. She stated he didn’t sound like him, and then he said he had a cold. She stated to the male it sounded like a scam, then the call disconnected. She did not provide any of her personal information.

1816 – Caller stated the general manager requested he call us because there is an aggressive dog in their parking lot on the restaurant side. The dog is growling and barking at guests.

1911 – Caller stated they hit a rock and now their vehicle is disabled in the driving lane. The vehicle is leaking transmission fluid. Nobody is injured and flashers are on. A description of location was provided.

2318 – Reporting party said his vehicle is in the ditch and provided a location. He stated his son veered to miss hitting a deer and ended up in the ditch. He stated it was too far into the ditch to pull it out tonight plus he has to get to work in the morning. He just wanted to report the situation.

Thursday, Sept. 14

0846 – MT DOT advised they have a work zone set up and requested a deputy be available they could use. Dispatch advised they notified a deputy

1414 – Reporting party called stating she had seen on Facebook an ad for a company out of Fort Peck that cleans duct work. It said something she was looking for, so she called them, set up an appointment and a male showed up at the time. He had a little shop vac, went around the house, pulled up the cover of the vents, vacuumed the crumbs, and then after a short amount of time stated he was done. She told him she wasn’t going to pay as he didn’t actually clean out the duct work nor did he clean the furnace or the air conditioning unit. She didn’t pay him and he stated she would have to talk to his boss about it. The caller is afraid maybe they are casing homes to maybe come back and rob them. She would like an officer to come out because she isn’t sure what is really going on with the situation. The reporting party also stated she had taken a picture of the license plate of the vehicle this male showed up in.

1504 – Reporting party called stating there is a pickup pulling a small boat that was speeding through the construction zone. She didn’t get a plate number but wanted to report it.

1732 – Caller reported that an RV is trying to get through the underpass.

2229 – Caller reported there’s a vehicle pulled over with its flashers on. A location was provided. She believes they need some assistance.

2315 – MHP Dispatch requested a code back on Highway 2. Officer has a car pulled over and the passengers are doing “weird things” while the officer is doing FSTs with the driver.

Friday, Sept. 15

0822 – Reporting party called stating she has a storage unit out in St. Marie. She is going out there to get some things. She wanted dispatch to be notified in case someone thinks they are stealing things.

0906 – MT DOT called in to request officer to assist them for traffic control in their work zone.

1435 – Reporting party called stating there is a moving van pulling a trailer with a vehicle on it. Its chains are dragging. A deputy later advised they are behind the vehicle and doesn’t see any chains being drug.

1459 – The library advised they found a wallet outside. A description of the wallet was provided. Dispatch tried calling the owner with the phone number that is listed but no answer. Officer later picked up wallet and took it to the GPD office for safe keeping.

1520 – Reporting party stated she received a call from one of the coaches. They stated there is an older female sitting on the bench in front of the school. The coaches told her to leave which she refuses to do. Deputy advised if they were sitting on the bench, they are no longer there.

1659 – Deputy provided a plate number for a pickup. The pickup is pulling a trailer and will be sitting on the side of the highway while waiting for bosses to fly into Glasgow.

1723 – Deputy advised two gentlemen dropped off a suitcase downstairs they found on the road. There is a tag with the name of an individual out of Forsyth, Mont. Rosebud County Sherriff’s was contacted and the dispatcher stated they do not have someone in their system by that name and not listed at that address.

1822 – Caller reported there is a Explorer abandoned for the last week. He stated there have been numerous complaints of the vehicle but no previous reports have been made to dispatch. He was wondering if it could be towed or if anything could be done about the vehicle.

Saturday, Sept. 16

1118 – Reporting party called to put on record that there was an antelope which appeared to be injured, walking on her front legs and not the back. He contacted Fish and Game about what he saw and was given permission to put the antelope down. He stated it didn’t appear to be shot and thinking more like it has been hit by a vehicle.

1133 – Deputy advised the person’s drive train came out and is waiting for someone to come help him.

1227 – Store manager called to state that one of the associates at the store found a glass case which has syringes in it, in the back alley at the store. They have the case inside. At 1237, officer advised he picked up the case and syringes. He will be taking them to the PD to have them destroyed.

Sunday, Sept. 17

0159 – Caller reported there was a lady that is very intoxicated at a bar going to leave in a vehicle. He did not get a plate number but provided where it was parked. He didn’t know if she was still there, and hung up before further information was provided. An officer was notified who tried to locate the vehicle.
