The Mavericks added two wins to their record last week after defeating the Harlem Wildcats and Scobey Spartans.

North Country downed class B Harlem 25-10, 25-9, 25-14 in Whitewater Sept. 7. The team had 32 kills, 12 aces, 25 assists and 34 digs.

Teagan Erickson had 10 of the team's kills followed by Paige Wasson with eight and BaiLee McColly with seven. Kendall Scheffelmear added five and Kennedy Simonson two kills. Wasson led in aces with five. Simonson, McColly and Berkley Hillman added two a piece and Erickson had one.

Simonson led in assists, putting up 20 of the team's 25, while CharLee McColly had four and Wasson one helper. Scheffelmear had nine of the team's digs followed by B. McColly with eight and Erickson with six. Wasson and Simonson both had four while Hillman had two and C. McColly one dig.

North Country hosted Scobey in Hinsdale Sept. 9, winning the match in four: 21-25, 25-12, 25-16, 25-16. The Mavericks collectively had 56 kills, 17 aces, 50 assists, 63 digs and one block.

Erickson again led in kills, putting 20 on the stats sheet. Wasson added 16, Scheffelmear 11, B. McColly eight and Hillman one kill. Wasson was the leader in aces with eight followed by B. McColly with four, Scheffelmear and Hillman both with two, and Erickson one ace.

In assists, Simonson was the go-to setter – passing to her teammates 40 times. Wasson assisted six times, C. McColly three, and Scheffelmear once. Scheffelmear had the team's lone block while also leading in digs with 14. B. McColly was right behind her with 13 digs followed by Wasson with 10, Hillman and Erickson both with nine, Simonson six and C. McColly two digs.

The Mavericks will be on the road Friday, Sept. 15, taking on Froid/Lake at 3 p.m. On Saturday, Sept. 16, they take on the Porcupines in Nashua with the junior high teams meeting at 2 p.m. followed by the varsity match.
