The Scottie volleyball team opened their 2023 season at the Choteau Invitational Aug. 25 and 26. Glasgow's young squad went 2-11 in the debut weekend.

Glasgow opened Friday against the host Bulldogs, falling 12-21, 13-21. The lost to Florence Carlton 19-21, 11-21, before defeating Cut Bank 19-21.

The Scotties fell to Three Forks 18-21, 21-19 and lost to Wolf Point 11-21, 14-21. Shelby beat Glasgow 16-21, 18-21 before the Scotties dropped another match to Three Forks 11-21, 12-21. Glasgow closed out the first day of play with a 21-19, 16-21 loss to Ennis.

Saturday the Scotties started with a 16-21, 18-21 loss to Shelby. In a rematch against Wolf Point, Glasgow came closer but still lost 18-21, 20-21. Glasgow lost another match to Florence Carlton 14-21, 11-21 before dropping a 9-21, 16-21 set to Choteau. The Scotties closed out the tournament with a 21-20, 21-12 victory over Simms. No stats were kept at the tournament.

Glasgow's home opener is Thursday, Aug. 31, when they host the Chinook Sugarbeeters for C squad, JV and varsity action beginning at 4:30 p.m. The Scotties travel to Chinook Saturday, Sept. 2, for the Chinook Invitational.
