Frazer Cross Country

The Frazer cross country teams started their 2023 season Aug. 25 at the Wolf Point Invitational. The Bearcub boys placed sixth with a team score of 139 led by Jarvis Goodbird. The girls team fielded only two runners, making them ineligible for a team score.

Goodbird ran a 21:32.87, coming in 16th place overall out of 57 runners to earn the Bearcubs 14 points. Gabe Beston put up 23 points for Frazer after running a 22:14.43 and coming in 27th overall. Travis Long placed 46th overall to earn 33 points with his 26:23.06 time.

Long was followed directly by Ty Fourstar and Cassius Smoker. Fourstar placed 47th with a time of 26:26.38 for 34 points while Smoker scored 35 points in 48th place at 26:32.65. Joseph Beston completed the race in 30:18.86 for 55th place and Christopher Fox placed 57th at 31:57.43.

Shakira Beston and Lela Romero ran for the girls team. Beston ran a 32:57.50 to place 34th out of 45 runners. Romero took 38th place with a time of 34:10.42.

Frazer is scheduled to attend the Poplar XC Invitational Saturday, Sept. 2.
