Carrie Taylor hurls the javelin May 2 in Glasgow at the Norm Girarad North/East Top Ten Track Meet. The Opheim senior won the girls javelin at the Class C State Track Meet held May 25-27 in Laurel. Taylor set a personal record at 131-09. The throw broke an Opheim School record - one that Taylor had set the week prior at the Eastern C Divisional Meet in Lambert. She had set the first school record with a personal best 127-00. See page 6B for the full Opheim story.
