Valley County Students Graduate From University of Montana

The University of Montana has over 2,000 students who are degree candidates for spring semester 2023. Of those 2,000 students, five students represented Valley County during the May 13 Spring Commencement ceremony at the University of Montana campus.

Ethan Jamba, BA in Journalism: Journalism

Ty Kittleson, Certificate of Applied Science: Culinary Arts

Zachary Kompel, Bachelor of Arts: History, CUM LAUDE

Ellis McKean, Bachelor of Science: Neuroscience, MAGNA CUM LAUDE

Students with “cum laude” after their name indicate a GPA of 3.40 to 3.69. “Magna laude” indicates a 3.70 to 3.89 GPA, and “summa laude” is 3.90 and above.

Official awarding of a degree and any official designation of graduation with honors or graduation with high honors is not made until students complete their final term of enrollment and meet all requirements.
