Frazer Bearcubs

Frazer’s track teams attended the Fairview Invite May 4 and the Gene Nelson Memorial Meet in Wolf Point May 5. In Fairview the girls put up 2 personal and three season records. The boys established four new personal records. In Wolf Point, the girls scored six points for 11 place with two new personal records and the boys scored three points for 12th place with four new personal bests.

FAIRVIEW INVITE

GIRLS

Isabelle Even led the Bearcubs in the 100 meters, taking 22nd with a time of 15.01. Baily Beston’s personal best 15.38 put her in 26th place and Shakira Beston’s season record 19.56 had her finishing in 37th place.

Angel Nelligan took eighth in the 1600 meters after finishing in 7:36.90 while S. Beston came in 10th with a time of 7:40.69.

Nelligan put up a personal record in the shot put, throwing 29-08.00 for seventh place. S. Beston claimed 17th with a season record throw of 25-09.50 and B. Beston took 22nd, also with a season record, after throwing 24-00.00.

Even cleared 4-00.00 in the high jump to tie for 10th place.

BOYS

Cassius Smoker ran both the 1600 and 3200 meters races. He took 27th in the first with a time of 6:41.51 and ninth in the latter with a time of 15:03.69.

Joseph Beston led the team in the shot put, taking 18th with a 33-06.50 throw. Ty Fourstar set a personal record in the event of 27-07.00, taking 38th place. Christopher Fox finished directly behind Fourstar with a 27-01.00 throw. J. Beston also led the Bearcubs in the discus, throwing a personal best 64-05 for 38th place while Fourstar took 41st with a 61-06 throw.

In the javelin, Fourstar placed 19th with a 108-08 throw. Fox set a personal record at 100-02 and finished in 26th place. J. Beston threw 81-09, a personal best, and finished in 45th place.

Fourstar cleared 5-02.00 in the high jump and tied for 10th place.

GENE NELSON

BOYS

Smoker took 11th in the 1600 meters with a time of 6:38.58 and ran the 3200 meters in 14:47.07 for seventh place.

J. Beston set a personal record of 34-09.00 in the shot put to claim seventh place. Fourstar threw 27-05.50 for 26th place while Fox took 27th with a personal best 27-02.00 throw.

Fourstar claimed 23rd in the discus with a 67-06 throw while Fox came in 27th with a throw of 62-11. Fourstar also led Frazer in the javelin, throwing 105-03 to tie for eighth place. Fox finished in 17th place with a 94-10 heave. J. Beson threw 76-09 for 21st place and Smoker set a personal record and finished 29th with a 49-09 throw.

Fourstar cleared 5-02.00 in the high jump to tie for fourth place.

GIRLS

Even ran the 100 meters in 15.00, a personal best that put her in 10th place. B. Beston took 13th with a time of 16.04.

Nelligan placed seventh in the 1600 meters with a personal best 7:26.78. S. Beston finished directly behind her with a time of 7:32.16.

S. Beston threw 25-05.50 in the shot put to place 17th while B. Beston took 21st with a 23-06.00 throw.

Even cleared 4-00.00 to place third in the high jump.

Frazer will attend the District 2B/3C Track Meet this Saturday, May 14. Competition begins at 9 a.m. at Scottie Field.
