Calendar of Upcoming Event in the Area

The Valley County Pioneer Museum hours are Wednesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Nemont Manor has activities scheduled throughout the month. If you would like a calendar, please contact 406-228-4306 or e-mail [email protected] and they will mail one to you. Events are also listed below.

Through the winter, people can coordinate with staff to visit weekdays at the Fort Peck Interpretive Center by prior appointment only. Call the Interpretive Center at 406-526-3493.

Thursday, Oct. 13

9:30 a.m. - Nashua Senior Center Coffee Hour

6 p.m. - VFW and Auxiliary will meet at the VFW. Auxiliary will meet at 6 p.m. with VFW following at 7 p.m. Agenda items include poppy distribution, Veterans Day program and life membership incentive for October. All members are encouraged to attend.

Friday, Oct. 14

1 p.m. - Tea and Crumpets at Nemont Manor.

1 p.m. - The public is invited to a Valley County Commissioner Candidate Forum at the Nashua Senior Citizens. Candidates Jerry Davenport and John Fahlgren will speak and answer questions. This is also the meeting day for members of Nashua Senior Citizens, so there will be a Pot Luck luncheon at noon and our monthly meeting after the Forum.

Saturday, Oct. 15

7 a.m. - 10 a.m. - Nashua Senior Citizens will have a benefit breakfast for Rita Allie. Come have pancakes, eggs and sausage to start your day by helping a neighbor.

9 a.m. - 3 p.m. - Annual Autumn Harvest Bazaar at the Valley Event Center.

9 a.m. - 1 p.m. - First Aid / AED / CPR Class at the FMDH Ambulance Barn (310 Mahon St.) To register call Connie at 228-3648 and leave a message. Registration deadline is Thursday, Oct. 13, at 5 p.m.

10 a.m. - Motorcycle Poker Ride. Signups at Sam and Jeffs. The total ride time is about six hours with four stops and will conclude at The Gateway.

11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. - Pioneer Museum Harvest Luncheon at the Museum. Free will donation.

5 - 7 p.m. - Come meet Jerry Davenport at the Glasgow VFW. He will be answering questions and listening to concerns regarding the running of Valley County.

7 – 9 p.m. - St. Marie Firefighters Banquet at the St. Marie Town Hall Banquet room, 526 6th Street, St. Marie. Call Mary-Jean if would like to purchase a ticket, 406-350-2218.

Monday, Oct. 17

2 p.m. - Coffee and Whist at the Cottonwood.

3:30 – 5 p.m. - Valley County Public Health Flu Vaccine Clinic at Lustre Elementary School

5:30 p.m. - Glasgow City Council Regular Meeting at the Council Chambers inside of the Civic Center.

Tuesday, Oct. 18

Noon – 3 p.m. - Valley Community Food Bank, located at 1020 1st Ave. N. is open the third Tuesday of every month. If this your first time applying for assistance from the food bank, please bring a photo ID and proof of physical residence. If you need food regardless of eligibility before this date, contact Kathy Smith, 406-263-0605.

12:30 p.m. - Tuesday Treats at Nemont Manor. Residents will make goodies for everyone who joins us.

5 p.m. - Opheim Regular Monthly School Board Meeting at the school.

5:30 – 7 p.m. - Question, Persuade, Refer Training at the Glasgow Evangelical Church.

Wednesday, Oct. 19

8 a.m. - Ranchers Stewardship Alliance, Hi-Line Sportsmen and FWP Volunteer Day at the Boucher Ranch to remove a fence along the railroad. Meet at Raiders Quick Stop at 8 a.m.

1 p.m. - Bingo at Nemont Manor in the new community room. $0.10 Bingo card or 5 for $0.50.

1-4 p.m. - Veteran Service Officers will be at the Glasgow VA Clinic. Please bring a copy of your discharge paperwork (DD214).

Saturday, Oct. 22

9 a.m. - Noon – FMDH Health and Wellness Fair at the Glasgow Civic Center, 319 3rd St. So.
