Women's Walleye Tournament

The Glasgow/ Fort Peck Chapter of Walleyes Unlimited held their 22nd annual ladies' tournament this past weekend. The weather was perfect, maybe even a little on the warm side. The fishing was excellent, and a fun day was had by all.

Forty-six teams were signed up, 90 percent of the field measured at least one walleye. With 30.24-pounds Carly Rush and daughter, Ayla took up home 1st place, local team Alicia Morehouse and Elaine Jatko Lund took home 2nd with 29.92-pounds and rounding out the top was Cindy Sundheim and Samantha Gross with 18.98-pounds.

Big Fish Winners were:

Walleye –

1st Carly and Ayla Rush with a 32" and

2nd Alicia Morehouse and Elaine Jatko Lund with a 29.75"

Northern –

1st Carly and Ayla Rush with a 34.25"

2nd Renae Bishop and Jill Meiers with a 34"

Bass –

Tie for first place with a 20.25 McKinsey Justice & Faith Bowland, Shalaine Lawson & Melissa Horner

Wee Walleye-

5.75 Donna Kelly & Heather Demko

Next up for the Glasgow/ Fort Peck Chapter is their banquet. They will be providing more information shortly, but it will be held September 24th at the Elk's Lodge, tickets will be limited so be sure to watch their Facebook page for more information.
