Glasgow's BPA Participates in Nationals

Business Professionals of America Glasgow Chapter just got back from Nationals in Dallas, Texas, which was held May 4 through 8. We had six students make the trip down to compete with advisor Jill Page. They all took tests in programming, Microsoft, and other business related tests.

Kate Parks and Alesia Hopstad did a volunteer internship at the hotel they were competing at. Four students, Parks, Dalton Sand, Tanner White and Blaire Westby, received the Ambassador Award, a national award for earning business torch points. They got to explore Dallas and Forth Worth.

The Montana BPA hosted a "Montana Day" for the Montana BPA students, which included a bus ride to Fort Worth to view the stockyards. In between competitions students from all the participating states traded pins to eventually have all the pins from every state. There was an opening session Wednesday and a closing awards session on Saturday.

Co-advisor Kristina McGee was one of three Montana BPA advisors to complete the National Advisor Certification, but she was unable to attend.

Glasgow and Opheim School received Quality Chapter Distinction during the National Leadership Conference. Hopstad and Parks were recognized for the series level one completion of the National Student Certification, while Sand was recognized for completing both the level one and two.

When everyone had completed their events, the Glasgow chapter went around Dallas touring museums and attractions. The students learned a lot and they had a blast. Luckily there were only a couple thunderstorms but the students got to enjoy some outdoor warm spring air. Overall all the students said it was with going to and they had fun, That's all that matters. Thank you to the many supporters and donors.

We appreciate all the donations and dedication to this program. Most importantly thank you to our advisors and parents for making this all happen.
