GMS Art Club Spruces Up GPD

Students Enjoyed Pizza Party, Built Relationships with Officers

The Glasgow Police Department (GPD) was fortunate enough to have The Middle School Art Club stop by and add some history to their squad room.

After pizza and soda, the base coat of the vintage patch was finished, with the final touches to be added in the coming weeks!

As an added bonus, the middle schoolers got to try out the Montana Physical Abilities Test (MPAT).

The MPAT is a hybrid physical ability/job sample physical abilities assessment process designed to evaluate law enforcement officer candidates during the hiring process.

The GPD's new facility is based as a regional location for northeastern law enforcement agencies to send their candidates.

"The Glasgow Police Department has an in-depth history that is not fully known by many people, including its current officers," said, Senior Patrolman Joshua Nolan. "We have some pretty interesting patches, firearms and photos from the past that need to be displayed and shared."

Since GPD moved to its new base of operations earlier this year, "we have had the chance to build our patrol room and incorporate some of our department's history," said GPD Patrolman Dick. "Some of that history includes photos of previous police officers that had been posted and shared on the Glasgow Police Department Facebook page. It's cool to read the comments that show the positive impact officers have had on others."
