Remember When

School has started and it brings to mind the days many of us packed lunch to school.

My husband and my daughters went to school at Tampico (Tampico Tech as some of the locals call it).

Back in the days of wood stoves in country schools, some lunches were packed in containers that could be set on the wood stove to warm up.

Of course, many sandwiches and goodies were packed before the days of Baggies, Zip Lock bags, or Tupperware.

Do you remember the days of wax paper sacks!

Of course, I am thinking that many goodies and lunches went to the field with many workers also.

These lovely wax paper sacks were just the right size and no doubt a Godsend after dealing with wrapping each sandwich in wax paper.

You could now drop a couple of cookies, etc. in the sack and have it ready to go.

We will chat about those cool lunch boxes and thermoses another day.
