Serving Proudly As The Voice Of Valley County Since 1913

Local Thrift Store

The Local Soroptimist International of Glasgow was organized to support and improve the lives of women and girls. The local Thrift Store is the main source of income to achieve this goal.

WE donate approximately $38,000 a year to Valley County and the Glasgow community. This money is distributed in many forms: dental assistance, classroom projects, Milk River Activity Center, Scottie Day Care, Childrens' Museum, Valley View Home, Women's Christmas and Easter gifts.

And, most recently, a pledge to the Valley Community Swimming pool.

The organizations are too numerous to mention. Our goal is to sell affordable goods to raise money for the projects that go back into the community.

In the past, the Soroptimist Thrift Store was a volunteer run business and only open one to three days per week. Now, the store employs seven and is open Monday through Friday. We now have a larger store due to the generous donations we receive. It is a full-time business with expenses, i.e., rent, utilities, payroll, etc.

We are updating our signage, which will be visible to customers. We will continue to offer you a clean, well-organized and affordable store.

The Board of Directors would like to ask those who have a concern, a suggestion, or a criticism to please contact the store manager or a member of the Board. Thank you for your patronage.
