Comet C/2020 F3, also known as comet NEOWISE, was seen at the site of the old building on Landfill Rd, east of Glasgow on July 14. According to NASA this will be your only opportunity to see the comet in the flesh as it will reappear in Earth's view in about 6,800 years. The comet's "nucleus" is only a few miles across but the total length of it's tail stretches over hundreds of thousands of kilometers across space. The comet is reportedly more than 64 million miles away. According to the Earth Observatory at NASA, this is the brightest comet to cross the sky since the comet Halle-Bopp made its bright showing in 1995 and 1996. The comet will be visible in the northern skies through the last weekend in July.
