Serving Proudly As The Voice Of Valley County Since 1913

Rider Bernice Ende Embarks on Multi-State Speaking Tour

Making Stop in Glasgow On June 9

Bernice Ende, in collaboration with Farcountry Press and her publicity team, is pleased to announce The Lady Long Rider Speaking Tour. The ambitious presentation tour will occur over eight months, span 18 (+) states, and retrace multiple legs of Ende’s most celebrated long rides. The tour will conclude with a long ride in the northeastern U.S.

Along the way, Ende will promote her new memoir, Lady Long Rider: Alone Across America on Horseback. She will be making a stop in Glasgow at the Valley Ridgerunners on Sunday, June 9. Burgers and drinks will be served starting at 6:30 p.m. and Ende will start signing at 7 p.m. The book will also be available during the event to purchase.

“Traveling with truck and trailer will be a much different long ride experience which I look forward to, I’ll be traveling not 20 miles a day, but 200!” Ende shares. In preparation for her trip, Ende, best known as Lady Long Rider, has recently completed a tour of speaking engagements at multiple Montana libraries. “After all these years of long riding, thousands of spirits have climbed into my saddle and ridden vicariously with me,” Ende continues, “My book tour offers an opportunity of reconnecting and once again sharing my travels with those that kindly helped me.”

With this tour, Ende has created an all-new slideshow and will share her presentation with many outlets, including libraries, senior centers, books stores, veterans’ organizations, and more.

A world-class long rider who rose to prominence after her first long ride at the age of 50, (a rather intense ride from her home in Montana to New Mexico) Ende’s memoirs recount many of the trials, tribulations and adventures she experienced while traversing America by horseback. Accompanied by her horses (she now rides Norwegian Fjords) and an exceptional dog named Claire, Ende has logged almost 30,000 miles in the saddle, crisscrossing North America and beyond.

On her speaking tour, Ende will feature select readings from her memoir in addition to the slideshow presentation that showcases fantastic photos and stories. “This book tour is a fantastic way to get back out on the road, and share my stories that, like my long rides, are dedicated to encouraging female leadership and to discover, learn and grow.”
