Lustre Confers Eight Diplomas

Lustre Christian High School seniors walked across the stage completing a chapter in their lives on Sunday, May 19, 3 p.m., at the high school's gym. With approximately over 200 people in attendance, family, friends and the community came together to wish the seniors off to their next adventure.

With a processional presented by Mrs. Melissa Marasco and an opening prayer by Pastor John Skillman, the ceremony kicked off. Salutatorian Emily Eggar and Valedictorian Ernest Uy provided their addresses to their class and a senior video was shown. Scholarships were then announced by Mr. Al Leland.

Principal Wes Young proceeded to present the 2019 class, comprised of Sadie Brown, Zach Brown, Yechan "Gillbert" Choi, Emily Eggar, Kassie Kirkaldie, Kirubel Legesse, Wisly Pierre and Ernest Uy, with Mr. Jared Fast awarding the diplomas. Pastor Frank Lenihan presented the closing prayer and Mrs. Marasco provided the recessional.

Honor attendants for the afternoon were Olivia Brown and Kyle Pederson. The 2019 class verse was Colossians 3:17 "And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him." The class quote was Eleanor Roosevelt's, "He who loses money, loses much; he who loses a friend, loses much more; he who loses faith, loses all."

The class flower was Blue Rose, and the class colors were black, blue and silver.
