Blue Jays Best Reds

In their second double-header of the week, the Glasgow Reds hosted the Billings Blue Jays on June 27. The Blue Jays finished the night winning both contests.

The first game was a more competitive game for the Reds as they lost by just three runs, 5-2. Tel Aune, Kristian Price, Bryce Legare and Chase Guttenberg each collected one hit in the game, while Guttenberg, Price, Darrin Wersal and Gavin Adkins contributed defensively with double plays.

Although John Cremer started on the mound for the Reds, surrendering one run on two hits and striking out two, Wersal took the loss for Reds. He surrendered four runs on four hits over four innings.

Billings blanked Glasgow in the second game, defeating the Reds 13-0 in five innings. Wersal, Aune and Kaden Fossum recorded the only hits in the game with Wersal and Aune each hitting a double.

Keagan Thompson took the loss for the Reds on the mound, pitching one and two-thirds innings, allowing five runs on two hits and striking out two. Aune and Fossum provided relief in the final innings, with Aune striking out four batters in just over two innings.

Aune and Wersal each had a double in the game, but were unable to drive in any runs.
