Hockey isn't seasonal for everybody. Four local skaters are continuing their experience as they play for the Montana Vipers, a AAA team made up of kids from Glasgow, Miles City, Great Falls, Gillette, Bismarck, Rapid City and Minnesota.
Michael Hoyer, Gage Siefert, Nik Burke and Colter Barnett participated in the Rushmore Cup Tournament held in Rapid City, S.D., June 7 – 10.
On their way to the championship game, the Vipers played four games, finishing with three wins and one tie.

Montana Vipers 4, Midwest Icehouse 2
Montana Vipers 5, Nebraska Bugeaters 4
Montana Vipers 1, North Dakota Sioux 0
Montana Vipers 2, Western Wranglers 2
The Vipers entered the chipper as the number-one seed and were matched up against the Nebraska Bugeaters. Although the Vipers had beaten the Bugeaters 5-4 in an earlier contest, they were unable to repeat the win and fell to their opponent in a 0-4 loss.
