Theatre Endowment Update

November 22, 2017

The Fort Peck Fine Arts Council, a 501c3 organization, has been dedicated to the maintenance and preservation of the beautiful Fort Peck Theatre. To accomplish this goal, an Endowment Fund was created, and professionally managed through the Montana Community Foundation, to generate sustainable investment returns used to fund major restoration projects.

Past gifts to this Endowment Fund have been crucial in keeping this building looking as wonderful as it did back in 1934.

This year, the Fort Peck Fine Arts Council has added an additional fund, which is invested locally, to expand the scope to which your donations can be applied. This gives donors additional choices over how the money is put to use.

The original Montana Community Foundation Endowment will continue to support only restoration projects of the theatre itself and the Jake Etchart Scholarship.

The new investment account will allow the Fine Arts Council to use the donations for the most needed projects to include, but not limited to, upkeep of the new rehearsal space, equipment replacement, maintenance of actor housing, and our current project—replacing and improving the stage floor.

You can express how much the Fort Peck Theatre means to you with a donation of your choosing. We applaud and appreciate your gift as it guarantees the theatre remains a vibrant treasure in Northeast Montana, today and for many tomorrows.

To learn more about making a donation to the Fort Peck Fine Arts Council's funds, call 406.228.9216, or write to fptheatre@nemont.net.
