Ethel May Wall

Ethel May (Conatser) Wall went peacefully to be with her Lord and Saviour on Monday, April 17, 2017, two days before her 95th birthday at Valley View Home in Glasgow, Mont., where she was born and raised.

She was introduced to her Lord with the help of Bythe McClain serving with the American Sunday School Union. As a result, she was active with Sunday School and daily Vacation Bible School for many years. Later on, she and Bert were involved with Beacon Bible Camp as cook and manager for several years.

On May 28, 1941, she married Albert Wall. She was one of the first "non-Mennonite" girls brought into the Lustre community. She was a helpmate to Bert as it says in Genesis 2:18, and made sure he had his coffee and homemade cookies at 10 o'clock and 3 o'clock. When the farm work was done, they liked to travel, but when they were home, she enjoyed crocheting, sewing and putting puzzles together.

She was on the first Lustre Schmeckfest Committee and was also a breast cancer survivor.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert; her parents, William J. and Mercedes Conatser; three sisters, Margaret, Ruby and Delie; a brother, Bill; a daughter-in-law, Nancy Wall; and a great-grandson, Daniel Green.

Those that will miss Ethel are her children, Tim Wall and his wife, Linda, Elaine Unrau and her husband, Eldon, Dwaine Wall and his wife, Vivian, and Roger Wall and his wife, Terry; grandchildren, Jerry Wall and his wife, Sheila, Tony Wall and his wife, Tina, Rod Wall and his wife, Heather, Kristine Kline and her husband, Paul, Becky Henckel and her husband, Jeff, Cindy Unrau, Steven Wall, Heidi Burns and her husband, Matt, Gretchen Schiller and her husband, Bob, Heather Atienza and her husband, Roberto, Katrina Plueger and her husband, Matt, Sharon Green and Sandra Duncan and her husband, Thomas; 27 great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

A visitation was held Monday, April 24, with family receiving friends from 5-7 p.m. at the Bell Mortuary in Glasgow. Services were held Tuesday, April 25, at 10 a.m. at the Evangelical Mennonite Brethren Church in Lustre, followed by burial at the Evangelical Mennonite Brethren Cemetery.

Memorials may be given in Ethel's name to Beacon Bible Camp, 6980 Mary St., Wolf Point, MT 59201.
