Theater's Chinese Auction a Success
This year's Chinese Auction at the Fort Peck Fine Arts Council was a smashing success. The event was held at the Cottonwood this year and was attended by an estimated 250 people. The event went smoothly and attendees had a great time. Annette Vegge and Jody Sundheim of the Fort Peck Fine Arts Council attribute the event's success to the great support and response, and are looking forward to next year's event.
Some of the more notable lots up for grabs where a weekend on Joan Etchart's house boat in San Diego which fetched the biggest bid of over $3,000 dollars. Perhaps the most interesting thing offered up at the auction was a weekend at Sun Meadow Nudist Resort in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.
Another great addition to the items on offer was a Brevile home espresso machine from Ann Kulczyk and co. over at the Loaded Toad coffee shop in Glasgow's downtown. The espresso machine was the main attraction in a package with other items including homemade demitasse cups, donated by Nick Dirkes, Doris LaGree kicked in some baked goods, Dwayne Lloyd donated Purple Mountain stainless steel tamper, Vintique 406 contributed a pallet tray, and Robin's Nest donated various accoutrements. According to Sundheim, the package went for over $600.
