From Hearts to Shamrocks

Another Art Class Offered by Overbey, FMDH

Kristine MacDonald / For the Courier

Aiden MacDonald (l) and Brianna Overbey (r) show off Aiden's mason jar creation at the "Share the Love" art class on Feb. 11. Overbey will be hosting another class on March 11.

Brianna Overbey, in partnership with FMDH, is hosting another art class, 'For the Luck of the Craft,' on March 11 at Prairie Ridge starting at 10 a.m. The class is free of charge and will be open to anyone and everyone, regardless of artistic ability. Children six and under must be accompanied by an adult. Fifteen spots were available at press time.

The craft for this class will consist of making leprechaun hats out of terra cotta pots. Participants will have the ability to paint the pot however they like, and then will elevate the project by adding a buckle and shamrocks. The leprechaun hat can then be brought home to use as decoration for St. Patrick's Day or to get a head start on gardening.

The last class hosted by Overbey and FMDH on Feb. 11 had a lot of positive feedback and stressed the need for family-friendly activities in the area. Participants who joined in on the fun created painted mason jars to use as home décor or gifts for Valentine's Day.

The class sign-up page is available on Facebook. If you have any questions, contact Overbey at 406-861-4119 or email boverbey4415@yahoo.com.
